I am a newb here. I wanted to introduce myself. I am currently working in Mexico as a full time missionary with my wife of 31 years. Our two kids (adults) have grown and moved on to start their own life. Even with the work here I now kind of feel a little alone. I know I am never alone with God. I looked it up once and I believe what it is I am experiencing is called "empty nest syndrome". Has anyone ever dealt with such a thing before? Anyways, this is my first forum and I am going to explore and see what is what. I have read the rules and such. So, I guess I will get on with it. ~crinkle_cut_fries

Welcome to the forum. I hope you have some great conversations. I'm an oldtime and have gone through the empty nest thing. Not fun, but life usually presents some interesting challenges.

My wife and I are fortunate to have our grandkids close by so it makes it easier.

Best of luck to you! And thank younfpr doing the Lord's work in the mission field.

Welcome~what faith are you serving in Mexico...not that it matters that much to me, but was wondering.
Quote"empty nest syndrome".
Empty nest, yes, syndrome NO. Glad they are gone, the only problem is that their children find a way here. But rules generally work great to send them back to their parents.

Where from the states are you from? Enjoy your time. RB
