Its hard to love someone who is responsible for billions upon billions of people going to hell. Should we love satan?

This is the dumbest thing I read all day by far, and that's saying something.

It's dumb, but not as dumb as some of his other tweets.

A couple of hours ago, he also wrote this-

QuoteDear Christians,

We do not have to view Prophet Muhammad as a "false prophet."

His life & legacy provide us w/ an opportunity to reflect on his prophetic function.

He brought the God of Abraham into the hearts & minds of billions of humans over the course of history.

Respect.

His profile states he's a Scholar, global speaker, media contributor, & public intellectual based at Rice University.
He's teaching America's youth. Until we take back academia, we'll continue to head south at an alarming rate.

Teachers like this are why most non-STEM degrees are worthless.

ANYONE who claim to be a follower of Jesus, yet they refuse to heed his words...

(Matt. 5:43-48 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you. that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

then how can they say..."I'm a true Christian?" who are we to judge who should be loved... or not? peace

first, you can't blame man for sending another to "Hell." everyone who can learn to follow Jesus, and chose not to. are responsible for their own salvation. also everyone good and bad goes to "HELL", because it's ONLY a place for the dead to rest. we really need to do research on what the bible "HELL" REALLY IS. and how it because a false teaching. because it's NOT a fiery place for the wicked dead.

here one biblical proof ,(Jonah 2:1,2 Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish's belly, And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heard my voice). He didn't mention seeing demons and fire, did he? He thought he would die there, in a since it would have been his grave.

This is what David said concerning Jesus ,(Psalm 16:10  For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption). MANY believe Jesus went to a "HELL-FIERY" place, that's not true. Jesus was in a tomb ,(grave), his body didn't stay there like other dead bodies. he was raised in three days, so his body didn't decade or "see corruption"

the reason why Jehovah God and Jesus NEVER created a "HELL...FIRE." is because it NOT in them to punish the wicked death forever. in face Jehovah God told Adam that the day he eats from a certain tree, he will die, (Gen. 2:17). he didn't say, go to a fiery place after death.

also Jehovah God's words says this ,(Rom. 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord). the "wage is death", NOT a fiery place. once we die, our sins are paid in full.

so there's NO "wicked "SOULS", burning in a eternal fire. first because the "SOUL", is a living being. NOT a ghost of a dead body ,(Gen. 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul).

and the "SOUL" isn't a ghost that can still sin. because a ghost suppose to be that of a dead person. so how can a dead person die again? ,(Ezek. 18:20 The soul that sin, it shall die....).  and why?... because the dead "KNOWS NOTHING", (Eccles. 9:5 For the living know that they will die. But the dead know nothing, And they have no more reward, For the memory of them is forgotten). peace

Re: Should Christians Love Muhammad?

There's a couple of Greek words translated "love" in the New Testament.

One is located at Matt. 5:43-48 which doesn't necessarily tug at one's heart strings, rather, it involves the practice of things like courtesy, generosity, and kindness without bias and/or prejudice. For example Mrk 10:21 which says:

"Jesus looked at him and loved him."

In that instance, Jesus was disposed to be gentle with that young man as opposed to stern and/or severe the way he often was with his opponents' hypocrisy. Compare Gen 6:8 where it's said Noah found grace in the eyes of The Lord.

In other words the love spoken of by Matt 5:43-48 doesn't require us to actually like everybody out there; only that we be civil with them; and that would include Mohammad should we chance to meet him, which isn't likely seeing as he's deceased.

The other "love" in the New Testament involves one's affections and makes us fond of, and/or attached to, someone or something we've taken a liking to-- for example Luke 20:46 which says:

"Beware of the scribes, who like to walk around in long robes, and love respectful greetings in the market places, and chief seats in the synagogues, and places of honor at banquets"

And/or John 11:1-3 which says:

"Now a man named Lazarus was sick. So his sisters sent word to Jesus: Lord, the one you love is sick.

And/or John 16:27 where it's said:

"The Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God."

So then, though God is benevolent with everybody, He isn't especially fond of everybody. i.e. only certain ones.
