Sexual Thoughts Due to An Involuntary Asexual Marriage

My wife has been disabled for going on 10 years.  Sex is impossible, cuddling is rare due to her all over pain.  I've never went outside our marriage for intimacy, but is having sexual thoughts a sin with the situation we're in?  Controlling your physical actions is not easy but I have been strong in resisting those temptations.  However, trying to control my mind is almost impossible.  Looking for some insight.

You are in a very difficult situation, isn't there anything she can do to help relieve the tension you feel? Surely she is on strong pain medication?
