Bon Voyage

What part of the country are you from?  Maybe there are some around there.  I am from outside the COC box, kinda "denominational" if you know what I mean.

sorry, Its in Southwest Virginia, Roanoke Valley

Hey, Servant!

(Being from there, you of course realize that's a Southern, Andy Taylor-type "hey", not an irritable, big-city, hailing-a-cab-style "hey"!)

You sure can get a boost in the arm from these GCM forums.

If you have trouble finding people like you, just keep looking.  You'll find them in the course of serving your brothers and sisters in the Lord, as well as those outside of the household of faith.

You can also work on growing more believers like yourself in the process of conversions that happen through you sharing the Word and the Father and His Spirit with people.  (That's just as humbling a thought as when you think that your kids will turn out just like you, isn't it?  I find it so.)  "Follow me as I follow Christ", is what you tell 'em as you mentor 'em.

Make it a point to visit all different flavors of fellowship among the Lord's people, those in town and those you run across when travelling.

Make it a point to attend every wedding and funeral you can --- that's a very Catholic/Cajun/South Louisiana attitude, and it's useful, because it exposes you quickly to all types of people, while they're thinking about the things of God, and when you can serve them if they feel a need.

Welcome, bubba.

XOXOX in Christ,

Janine :)

Hi Servant,

I am sorry you are blue right now. I must say, I have been in your shoes. I was a minister at a church whose Elders felt I was a "loose cannon."

I can tell you that even in that congregation there were other seekers and people who weren't quite sure that all the answers to denominationalism, baptism, and instrumental music were determined in the 1940's.

What a great site this is., You know its great to see on here others with similar problems., my biggest problem is we just can't find anyone locally who at all seems to have the scales lifted and its really depressing.  I sometimes wish I still had the blinders on its so much easier. My mother says to my wife and I "who put all these crazy ideas in your head" .  Surely there are others.

Servant00,

glad you jumped in to let us know you have joined us.

When you get a chance and feel like telling us, we would love to know more about you and your family.  I have a family page on my web site called "about us".  That's http://www.clarksons.org.  It's needing a little updating but not much.

And there getting to be more and more of us all the time!!!!!

God bless,

Wiley

Servant, you are not alone. As Paul was told by God; "I have many people in this town." So, it is true. Florence, AL is ground zero for the kingdom of the legalists, or so it seems. Yet, God has led me to many wonderful grace-centered persons. And, if all else fails, I drop in here and get another round of encouragement.
