I was active here on the boards while I went through a pretty nasty divorce. (Came home from church and there was a dude in my basement).  Thanks for helping me during that time @chosenone :)

Long custody battle later, God worked and I got joint custody of my son.  I can say that so far in my journey, my faith is stronger, I'm a good dad, my son is doing well, and his faith is growing.

I feel like "I've given up my right to get event".  And am over my Ex.   For a long while now.  (9 years)

I serve at the church, gone on mission trips, and am confident that I'm walking towards Jesus every day.   (I'm not saying I'm perfect by no means.)

I'm in a point right now where I'm 41 years old, and haven't been on a date for a long while.  Although I'm attending a regional church in Pittsburgh PA, opportunities to meet single women is pretty much non existent.

Soo... Looking at my options, I can try a matchmaking service, perhaps do some online dating (I did that a few years ago, met some real cooks), or something else..

With that said, any tips for someone jumping into mix?

Had dinner with a good friend.  My faith is a bit stronger and my resolve is better now.  It all comes down to seeking the Lord.  Focusing on my relationship with Him.

It's funny how when you rebalance, keep the main thing the main thing, hurt and sadness kinda fades away.  Allows joy to step in.  (Because I'm not looking for joy from a relationship to make me happy)

We will see what happens.
