Been there, done that as the old saying goes~But, I could add to that list very easily.

Outdoor bathroom; kids played outside from sunup to sundown, and the parents did not have to worry about us; we walked everywhere to school, stores, etc.

I remembered when we made our own toys, created our own games; my grandfather walking to the store came back with his six small bottles of cokes in an aluminum bottle carrier.

I remember when we use to go to OUTDOOR movies with our girlfriend....

I could go on and on... ::smile::

I remember working in an old full service gas station when a car could be filled up with a $5 bill with change leftover. And we actually knew how to count change back to a customer! And the predominant location of the gas tank was through flipping down the licence plate. Also cleaning windshields and wringing out the chamois is now a lost art. As well as the requisite checking the radiator water for Mrs Preston each Saturday and not getting third degree burns. The REAL treat was fixing flat tires, the old tube type tires. As a rookie gas station flunky, I always admired and looked up to the more experienced  tire jockeys. Also that was in the ancient days of gas stations with working air hoses. I saw an abomination the other day when I had to scour the city for a working air hose for a low tire I had. I finally found one that operated with a credit card. THIS is progress?

I am old enough for the meme.  Technology has changed drastically in the last 20 years
