Further to my earlier posts, the simplesite web article has now expired, but a similar article has been published at westernfriend.org/media/quaker-style-method-governance.
An important aspect of Fox's understanding of the ministry of Christ was to bring emphasis to Christ as The Prophet as well as Lord and Saviour. The role of the Quaker-style meetings proposed in the article, in a very real sense, enable this prophetic ministry to be carried out today. Christ is present in and through groups of Christians who are completely surrendered to his inner presence through the Holy Spirit. Today such groups (especially in places of business and politics) have the opportunity to act as influencers but one day, when the Kingdom is fully manifested on earth, they will be (I suggest) the instruments through which Christ will rule.

Don't most preterists believe that Christ is already ruling?  ::lookaround::
