Undefeated?  I wish!  But with Jacksonville and Seattle on the road, not likely.

And they better watch out for the Steelers too.

OD

James Rondon

Even if they made it spotless until the big game, they'd have a huge let down after playing the Bears!  :D

Marzipan

I'm just bitter that they beat Cincy today. :(

James Rondon

Look at how many points they gave up, in the process!

Marzipan

Yeah, we gave 'em a good fight anyway...

James Rondon

Don't feel bad... this is the year of da Bear anyway  :D

OkiMar

If Big Ben is healthy, the Colts could fall next Mon night.

James Rondon

Now that they've reached 10-0, the pressure is going to become more and more of a factor with each additional game.

Mere Nick

I believe they will go undefeated unless they lose.  You may qoute me.

You sure? That's pretty bold...  :D

Barry

I don't know if they'll go undefeated or not, but I do know one thing -- I AM SICK AND TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT ARCHIE, PEYTON, AND ELI MANNING!!!! Everytime these guys play the announcers have to talk about the thing over and over and over and over again. I've heard more about Archie Manning than I did when the guy actually played. Enough Already!

You'll hear a lot more about it if they make the Super Bowl.

Bon Voyage

I've been to Soldier Field this year, lets see Chi-town do the 2006 Super Bowl Shuffle.

James Rondon

Well... It will be the 20th Anniversary of the original Super Bowl Shuffle.

Mere Nick

I'm a Panthers man, Jerry.  However, the 13-3 score does not even begin to hint at the number of Panther pelts now hanging on the Bears locker room wall.  It was, without doubt, an unmerciful 13-3 slaughter.

Bon Voyage

I'm a Lions fan, I like Chicago, and absolutely hate Green Bay.  But almost every year, the Lions stink, and I get to find a new team that is actually winning.  Might as well keep it in the division.

DCR

My team the Titans are unfortunately in the same division of the Colts, and are struggling at 2-8.  So, we get to be beat by them twice in a season... well, we play the Colts next in a couple of weeks, but I'm not very optimistic.

I think the Colts are going to go all the way.

James Rondon

QuoteI think the Colts are going to go all the way
All the way to the brick wall that is, da Bears!  :banghead:

Bon Voyage

OldDad

C'mon Barry, you don't remember when Archie Manning actually played!

I, on the other hand, saw him play college ball[/b].

Peyton, BTW, is the best of the three - his dad wasn't much as a pro.  And I really didn't care for Peyton when he was at UT.  I was somewhat dismayed when he went to the Colts, who I have been a fan of since the Don Shuila days back in Baltimore.

I have -ahem- modified my point of view somewhat.

All the way Colts!

OD

PS: James, the entire Bears team couldn't tote Peyton's jockstrap!

James Rondon

QuotePS: James, the entire Bears team couldn't tote Peyton's jockstrap!
Him and his jockstrap will have to tote themselves home without a Super Bowl ring! Go Bears!!!  :disco:

OldDad

Spurly,

You're not supposed to drink the Nyquil until right before you go to bed.  Otherwise it will make you sound kind of loopy.

Colts in another Offensive Struggle:  35-28

DCR

Assuming Peyton's on his game, Colts 38-21.  I predict the Colts will score fast, but most of Pittsburg's points will be scored late in the game in a comeback attempt.

I'm rooting for the Colts to win it all this year and get it out of their system.

James Rondon

QuoteColts lose tonight, 28-24.
I recant the prediction I made above, and I repent for not admitting the superiority of the Colts.

OldDad

Well, looks like everyone missed on their score predictions.  Give the Steelers credit for good D - holding the Colts to just 2 TD's means something.

The Steeler offense was atrocious - if it hadn't been for a pick and a couple of big penalties, they wouldn't have scored at all.

Don't forget - I predicted the Colts would not go undefeated, but would win the Super Bowl.  It would be nice to be wrong, but with the Jags and Seahawks looming as away games, I'm not ready to change just yet.

Of course, Leftwich is hurting and Seattle is not as intense as they were the first half of the season...

Skip

IMO, the lack of a competitor may nix the undefeated season.

If the Colts get in the range of 13-0, or 14-0, or 15-0, and basically lock up the home field throughout the playoffs at that point, do the Colts risk their starters in the quest for a perfect season -- at the risk of a critical injury that could cost them the Super Bowl?
::ponder::

Hopefully the Broncos will push the Colts to go 15-0; then just one game 'at risk' might be worth it for one of the most enduring records in sports.

OldDad

I think they do take that risk, Skip.

Yes, you want to win the division...Yes, you want home field advantage in the playoffs...and Yes, you want to win the Super Bowl.

But you also want the record, the history of being one of two teams to go undefeated.  That wise sage John Madden said last night, "I never thought winning was a bad thing..."

Bottom line, in the last games you play your starters for a least part of the game.  BTW, the Jags are game 13, and the Seahawks are game 15, and there's no decision to be made in those games, it's A team all the way.  For the final game with Arizona, let Manning, James, Harrison & Co. put a couple on the board, then let the back ups play until they get in trouble.

OD

Weeble

I still say undefeated and that the Manning brothers will face one another in the Big Game.  Just so Barry can hear all  about the Manning Family again. :;):

James Rondon

DCR

They crushed my Titans today 35-3.

::mope::

The Colts are now 12-0 on the season.  Their biggest remaining contest will probably be with Seattle (9-2) on Christmas Eve.  That one should be a good game, maybe even a preview of the teams in the Superbowl.

James Rondon

The Bears are from Chicago, DCR... Not Seattle!!!

James Rondon

The Colts are 13-0, now... Does anyone want to re-vote?
