Guns vs. Evil Hearts

    If an out-of-control liberal Government were to find a procedure which allows it to successfully remove all guns from its citizenry, they [guns] would be replaced with knives, ball-bats, iron pipes, and a hundred other items to use as weapons by those whose hearts need a transformation. Our crime-ridden problems are not guns. The fundamental undisputed problem are evil hearts. Until evil hearts are transformed, crime involving guns and other weapons will multiply.

Transgender Pets

   I'm waiting to hear the insane news, thinking it's only a matter of time in this mixed up culture, such as, "My male pet dog is now a transgender female," or, "My pet female cat is now a transgender male." And how much longer will it be that some farmer from California will claim his one-time bull is now a cow? Weird insights? Yes, just as weird as those who were biologically born a particular gender but are now declaring they are of the opposite sex.

Did Jesus Make His Final Personal Advent
In A. D. 70?

According to this doctrinal scenario, proclaimed by many, He did. Let it be said that if any portion of scripture used by Preterists to support their position collides with other specific and clearly-spoken portions of scripture, they err and the foundation of their major premise crumbles. With this in mind, let me cut at the very taproot of this belief system.

    It is vital to understand that if Jesus made His second personal advent in A. D. 70, the immensity of the event would have prompted someone to mention or write about it after that date. But no! It is not recorded anywhere. This fact is a burr under the Preterist's saddle that cannot be extracted, for he cannot provide testimony from anyone, including 'church fathers' who lived in A. D. 70 and beyond, that the Messiah made His personal advent at that time.

    Yes, He came in judgment upon the rebellious Jews, as history confirms, and Old Jerusalem was literally destroyed never to rise again as a terrestrial nation instituted by the God of new Israel, the redeemed community. But His second and final advent is yet future.

"Climate Change"

    For decades, I have declared the "changes" in our weather patters are nothing more than natural cycles. History confirms it. These "natural cycles" have occurred, off-and-on, since Adam's Fall. We agree, however, that some of this can be prevented by keeping our environments, worldwide, clean of pollutants. As to the testimony of science, I have never denied valid science. But when any division of science refutes the testimony of my God, it is "false science."

With the right directed teaching some hearts might well be transformed; however, we know that more will not be transformed.  The answer, as demonstrated by God again and again throughout the history of the OT, is punishment of the one committing the crime.  Neither laws nor law enforcement can end any wrong doing. It is only fear of being caught, tried, convicted and punished that keeps people from committing crime.

At the present time, there may actually be some warming that is due to the human population on the earth.  The solution, if even needed, to that warming will not be found in the plans of the today's climate change mongers.  First the entire scope of the forecasted global warming is the result of computer codes which, so far, have not only been shown to not be very good at predicting future change, they have been shown in the past to be wrong.  Given the actual chaotic nature of the global climate, there is little chance that any computer code based predictions can possibly be accurate.

Second, if those climate change mongers were truly interested in reducing the effects of energy production on the climate, then they would be all for massive increases in nuclear power generation.  That they are actually against any such increases only demonstrates that their real goal has little if anything at all to do with real limiting of climate change.

Third, I have real doubts about even the ability to measure "global temperature change" with enough accuracy to address the problem, if such a problem even exists.  That data do date indicates less that a 2^o Fahrenheit increase in temperature since about 1880.  Given the ability of the earth to thrive in the past through significantly greater swings in temperature, I think we will manage to accommodate any increase that might develop due to climate change over the next century or so.

Finally, whenever the climate change extremists try to show the disastrous effects of current global warming, they always show the disastrous results of extreme weather events.  But those results are really not so much the result of the enhanced weather events as much as they are the result of the present distribution of the population densities.

    Thanks for your input, brother. As long as evil, murderous hearts possess guns, or ball-bats, crime will be the result. Clean and clear hearts and minds will never use weapons of any kind to take the lives of others—except in self-defense.
