can you explain why from the time that Jesus came out of that tomb and ascended to his throne in heaven that

that there are over 41,000 different Christian denominations worldwide?

And within each denomination there are differing understandings of what the 66 books of the Holy Bible say. (Excluding the RCC and Orthodox.. that dont agree with each other)

If it was not free will that allows for people to read the same thing yet understand differently from each other... then what is it?

I am not sure why you posted that verse or what you think it implies concerning the question of free will. The essence of free will, theologically, is the ability to choose to obey or disobey God.  That verse in no way precludes any such ability.
