James is speaking of the evidences of a genuine faith. The fruit of the Spirit. The ongoing faith. The life.

I do not think that James is speaking so much of evidence of faith, but rather an explanation of what faith is. Faith is not simply verbal articulation that one believes something.  As I have stated quite a few times here and elsewhere the truth from Jordan Peterson when he posited, "How can you say that you believe in God and then not do what he says?"  Faith in God, believing in God, requires action in the form of obedience. We understand that no one can obey perfectly, but that does not negate the requirement of obedience. And that is the faith through which we are saved by grace.

It would seem the spirit of the antichrist (another teaching authority other than sola scriptura) .

What God calls together the liar calls separate. .And what God calls separate the father of lies calls one . revealing the god of this world has no spiritual undestanding--- his undestanding (faith) is limited to the temporal dying things seen. Not subject to the gospel. He would say one kind of faith look---- then believe the sign and wonder seekers that made Jesu into a circus seal--- perform a miracle do a trick then when we see it with our own eyes we will believe for a g half a second .

Two kinds of faith as power.  One in respect to the unseen invisible "Let there be" and the invisible became "it was good". Not the faith of dying mankind called( no faith. . no power) ."Let there be" and nothing changes nothing.

In a parable called drink the blood eat the flesh. Christ pouring out His Holy Spirit life  on dying mankind--- suffering in jeapordy of his own Spirit life of Christ . He gives us little of His Spirit life and calls us children of little born again faith. He is faithful the storeroom of that power that can raise the dead and like Peter when he lost trust increase your power

Luke 17:4-6 King James Version And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our (new born again) faith. And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

David(beoved of God)  to represent Christ is used in a parable filled with metaphors, the signified understand.

Christ sent him a thirst for hearing the gospel using water turned to blood both used to represent the unseen work of he Holy Spirit. Sent three apostles, three to denote the end of a matter saying; the blood of men that went in jeopardy of their lives. The drinking of the blood and eating of flesh. David did not drink it unworthily---- worthily it came through the promised of the Son of man, Jesus the three day and night demonstration

2 Samuel 23:16-18 King James Version And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water(to represent the work of the spirit ) out of the well of Bethlehem(city of bred flesh), that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the Lord. And he said, Be it far from me, O Lord, that I should do this: is not this the blood(Holy Spirit)  of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it(Holy Spirit) . These things did these three mighty men. (equal to our one mighty God, Christ the Holy savior )

1 Corinthians 11:27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
