The above link dpr, is to the book THE HUGUENOTS OR REFORMED FRENCH CHURCH, by William Henry Foote. It is a good book that you should read. Starting on page 590, it addresses the Huguenots settling in SC.

Now why would I care to read that when I have The Word of God to study and obeying Lord Jesus' command to WATCH the SIGNS He gave leading up to His future return?

I'm done with history books, and I have been a major student of history. My family's French history in France that brought them to the Americas is enough.

History itself is filled with the fulfilled signs of biblical prophecy we are supposed to be watching for. Denying those signs by denying the testimonies of our ancestors regarding what they went through at the hands of those they claimed were fulfilling prophecy by persecuting them, is not watching the signs. It is ignoring them. Nevertheless, the history of one peoples from one country most certainly is not enough, as a great many peoples from a great many countries suffered under the same persecutions from the same persecuting power you are and continue to deny as being what history has revealed it most obviously is.

Why do you not believe the testimony of your ancestors and so very many others? Are you sure you really understand the true history of your french family? Perhaps you could learn a great deal from this book which traces that exact history of the Huguenots right up to their arrival in SC.

I think I agree with what you said there.  Too many see the prophecy of the end times being a description of events that take place over a brief period of time near the end before Jesus returns.  I see the prophecy of the end times being a description of the entire period between the first and second comings of Jesus Christ. That is the meaning of phrases like "last days" or "the end times" or "the ends of the ages" in the NT. If that is what you intended there, then I agree totally.

Yes, apart from the YEC or DTE debate, we seem to have agreed several times over the years regarding other issues. It only makes sense that biblical prophecy is for and applicable to God's people throughout their history, rather than just one generation here or there, or at the end of time.

2Pe 1:16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. 19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

There's a old saying on history that is relevant, "those that cannot remember the past are destined to repeat it"

Quote from: Amo on Sun Jan 25, 2026 - 16:17:27The Papacy also shares these goals, and relations with Communism and Socialism. It has been a globalist institution for at least about 1500 years before the Communist or Socialist entities of today ever existed. ....

I cannot agree with your views on the RCC, even though I am a Protestant Christian.

Many assassination attempts have been on the pope's life by Communists. So what you claim about the RCC being in bed with Communism is really just propaganda, even though there are hidden Communists among their priesthood, especially in South America. There have been many Catholic authors that have revealed aspects of the Communist conspiracy.

Where it sounds like your view on the RCC is coming from is from Jewish propaganda. Lot of orthodox Jews in Europe were Communists and the RCC persecuted them. Also, fraternities like the Masons, and especially the Illuminati which was created by an orthodox Jewish law professor in Austria, Adam Weishaupt, was discovered in the late 1700's and banned, which had its aim to destroy... the Catholic Church, and the Monarchs, and Christianity in general.

The Russian president called NATO out of date, praised President-elect Donald Trump for acting courageously after the assassination attempt and said he hopes U.S.-Russia relations will be restored.

Putin congratulated Trump on winning the US election and said he was "ready" to talk to the US president-elect, adding: "I was impressed by Trump's behaviour during the assassination attempt.

Putin said Russia and Europe must return to a state of mutual trust. Russia, Putin said, did not consider Western civilisation to be the enemy despite attempts by the United States and its allies to isolate Moscow.

"The former structure of the world is irrevocably disappearing, we can say it has already gone, and a serious, irreconcilable struggle is unfolding for the formation of a new one," Putin said.

Now this has been championed by Catholic Church for some time as one can see..

Pope Francis Calls For 'New World Order' After The Pandemic

Vatican News — Pope Francis insists in a new book things will never be the same in a post-pandemic world, calling instead for the establishment of a "new world order."

In a book-length interview with journalist Domenico Agasso titled God and the World to Come, scheduled for release in Italian on Tuesday, the pontiff reiterates his case for the Great Reset with a shift away from financial speculation, fossil fuels, and military build-up toward a green economy based on inclusiveness.

What series of events made you such a fool? The more of your stuff I read, the more disgusted I get. I hope there is not one single person here who follows anything you have to say. If you go to your grave not convincing anyone of anything, you will have done yourself a service.

I am only interested in his commentary and opinions. The links are support for his self-fulfilling prophecies. There is no shortage of people willing to support your ideas. Even liars find support from someone.

It has always been my opinion that interpretation is random. It can have different meanings to different people. It is only after an event happens that you can know for sure what the meaning is. So, what I am saying is the majority prefer their opinions over the actual meaning. Instead of studying the Bible and coming to conclusions, use it as a reference and consider the possible outcomes. To continue pushing false narratives this late in the program lacks wisdom and is foolish.

Instead of studying the Bible and coming to conclusions,... Really?
It has been my opinion that no matter what the forum is your interpretation is random. It can have different meanings to different people. And I am talking on things like predestination V free will... Is Jesus really God... Is there a Trinity when the word is not in the bible... and a dozen more things that all draw personal opinions from personal understandings.

As to Hobie.... You have not been around much but when he has a theological issue you will know it and his exegesis is worth reading because you will think.

I am only concerned with his prophecy teaching. It is horrible. Other issues that he talks about may be on point, but I cannot speak to that. Look at what I quoted, then you will see what it is I'm referencing.

You do not like it?  Then don't read him. You had to dig back for stuff not even current posting to pick your battle.

I always read the actual posted links, then see who else... non-forum ... is talking about such.

The worst are the encyclicals which are reposted a great deal if you do a single google... but just like those on a forum.... opinions are divided.

If you are following that church you and I will vehemently disagree on most things. Especially anything that came from the Jesuit that was in charge
