Recapturing The Vocabulary Of The
HOLY SPIRIT

[Section 2]

Perhaps this column should have been titled, "The Inflexible Students Of The Infallible King James Version," for we still have a school of believers who affirm the KJV of the scriptures is without flaws. Inasmuch as I have been following a line of thought on the accuracy of the KJV, I have found a few of the assertions difficult to swallow and digest.

One brother affirmed, "There are no errors in the KJV." He has gone to mammoth efforts to substantiate his claim. Another brother added, "Considering interpretative direction there are no errors in the KJV or many other translations." These statements caused my brain to overload in an effort to decipher the rationale behind their remarks.

Here are the facts about the so-called inerrancy of the KJV. The translators were not infallible. At King James' command, they deliberately mistranslated certain Greek terms. Number 3 of the King's commands to his translators, reads, "The old ecclesiastical words to be kept; as the word church, not to be translated congregation"

"Old ecclesiastical words" not only included "church," but "Easter," "Bishop," "baptize," and other churchy terms. King James was King and Head of The Established Church of England. It is safe to say he did not want to be Head of a mere congregation! But let's go back a century.

In 1526-1526, a century before the KJV was ushered in, William Tyndale translated the New Testament scriptures from the oldest Greek manuscripts available to him at the time. I have in my files the complete translation. I have checked through much of his rendition, and wherever the Greek ekklesia appears, he translates it "congregation."

The first time "church" appears in our contemporary English translations is in Matthew 16:18. Tyndale's translation reads, "And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter. And upon this rock I will build my congregation: and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Romans 16:16 reads, "Salute one another among yourselves with an holy kiss. The congregations of Christ salute you."  As far as I am able to ascertain, "church" does not appear anywhere in his translation.

I have checked with Thayer's Greek Lexicon, a renowned Greek scholar, and every time "church" appears, he renders it, assembly, congregation, community, and notes that ekklesia encompasses any kind of an assembly. But never "church."  I suggest we increase our allegiance to King Jesus and decrease our allegiance to King James.

To claim that the KJV is inerrant is taking a stand against all reputable Greek scholars and rendering oneself, as I gage the matter, unknowledgeable of the issue. All translations—every one of them—contain errors, inaccuracies, flaws. The KJV seems to be the leader. Yet in spite of mistranslations, those same versions tell us the greatest story ever told and reveal how humanity can redeem itself through the sacrifice of one Man—Jesus Christ.

There is no translation on the market that can claim a "word-by-word" rendering of the oldest Greek manuscripts. Even the New International Version, one of the many Versions I have, is far from being a word-for-word translation. It is, in truth, inconsistent in various places. Here's an example: 1 Corinthians 14:34 reads, "As in all congregations of the saints, women should keep silent in the churches."

Please note the discrepancy between "congregations" and "churches." The Greek "ekklesia" should have been honored in both instances, hence rendering the verse as follows, "As in all congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the assemblies." The Greek ekklesia translates both "congregation" and "assembly," but never "church." To translate the verse as the NIV does—and deliberately at that—is the height of "scholarly" dishonesty.

  P. S. An explanation of women "remaining silent in the assemblies": This was a cultural  instruction. In Paul's day, women were not permitted to  speak publicly as men were.

[Please look for Section 3]

Jaime

Yet Paul in Romans 16:1 refers to Phoebe as a deacon or deaconness in some versions. Was Paul inconsistant or was his statement about women to remain silent in church only for in a particular church or congregation for some reason and not a universal command?

Thanks.

I also use the KJV as the main study Bible. . Gods Holy interpretation .

Thankfully we can offer our private interpretation as personal commentaries .Knowing his kingdom does not come by observing the dying temporal things under the Sun. Christians with a living hope miraculously can look beyond the grave

Some in Revelation 2 did follow after the private interpretations of the leader Nicodemus like the Nicolaitans. . .serving the flesh of Nicodenmus .

Christ working in them rebuked the born again believers who left thier first love. .Hearing God and empowered dying mankind to do his good will.

As you mentioned they deliberately mistranslated certain Greek terms.

Violating's the loving commandment not to add new meaning to one word, it can change all the loving commandments coming from another author.

You could say spiritual plagiarism . Satan the king of identity theft ."I will be like God. Also violating the first loving commandment

Another loving commandment at the end of the book of prophecy(Rev) to protect the integrity whole or perfect .Both working as one work of Christ's powerful labor of love

Deuteronomy 4:2 King James Version Ye shall not add unto the word (singular) which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it(singular) , that ye may keep the commandments(plural) of the Lord your God which I command you.

Rev. 18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book

I would offer there are other words left in the Greek as it would seem, to cause confusion. needed by the father of lies to develop false doctrines based on Mythology. Many gods in the likeness of men.

The word apostle (sent messengers) comes to mind. The father of lies confusing its faithful understanding as sent messengers of Christ as if inspired by the messengers (apostles) like UPS, Fed X, Pony Express, Amazon, My wives favorite errand Husband sent to do this or that.

Making the apostles the dying thing seen as the source of Christ faithfulness. Blasphemy

Destroying the usage of the word apostle throughout the Bible, affecting the word church or congregation .

The first member of the church the second born born again Abel the apostle sent with the gospel prophecy .The blood of Abel the prophet as the first recorded sent one (apostle) a martyr, cries out in a hope of the new born again incorruptible body.

I would suggest Today by many false usages of the word apostle (messengers). . , apostolical time period, called the church or apostolical succession.

Glorying in the dying flesh of men not the power of Christ living words who as Emanuel can work from within .

One think I try to remember because "without parables" (the comparing, mixing of) the things seen, the historical temporal with the unseen eternal spiritual . . things the gospel .Christ spoke not. . .Which the gospel understanding is hid from the father of lies . . not given understanding, not subject to the gospel .

The Lord working in the Son of man Jesus in order to teach how to walk by faith the unseen eternal things of Christ. In Like 9 Demonstrating without parable our Invisible Holy Father spoke not.

In Luke 9 Christ through his prophet Jesus delivered one parable hiding the gospel understanding, one after another as on continuing teaching tool parables. A tool teaching How to hear God and not dying mankind. At the end of the matter hiding the understanding of faith (verse 55)  .Christ rebuked them and revealed they knew not what manner of spirit they were of .(un-converted mankind) no understanding from the parable  .

I would offer. Give glory to the living word .Not pony express, smoke signals the apostle. You could say like the apostle Balaam's Donkey. I will crush your feet exposed the false apostle Balaam unlike the beautiful feet of the true apostles.

Romans 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent as it is written, How]beautiful are the feet of preach the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things!

I would offer. In the fall Adam is used to represent Christ eternal God not seen. Adam a representative was to protect his wife with prohecy the words of Christ were to be given to Eve.

She represented the wife of Christ representing the preacher priestess . After the order of priesthood shown in Exodus 7:1-2

That time using Moses to represent Christ unseen and and Aaron the priest.to represent the bride the church .

Satan understanding Eve as the weaker vessel "not receiving prophecy directly" added four words of false prophecy .Neither shall you touch .

By the tools of his deceitful trade the two building blocks of false pride .The lust of the flesh a desire to see the nakedness' of tree hidden in the center in that parable . . . . . when seen "the lust of the eye" took its course. .  the touch of death. Adam failed to protect her from false prophecy.

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

In the new testemtment the time 1st century of reformation had come  The Jewish men's only club built two 15 ft. high walls .One to divide the Jewish women from the Jewish men .They could not participate in the ceremonies .and another high wall separated male and female gentile , not participating  in the ceremonial shadows.

Then came the gospel explosion one like never before or ever again .a terrible tribulation for the outward Jew .One like never before or ever again .

Families could now gather together .One new ceremonial law.  Things became out of order God was still bring new prophecy. . gentiles wives were a questioning thier loving gentile husband and order was needed. write it down and discus later

1 Corinthians14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak (ask thier husbands) in the church. What? came the word of God out from you(Men only)? or came it unto you (women)only?

Jewish family mixed with gentiles establish the new name the Father promised to name Christian literally meaning "residents of the heavenly city ,name after it founder and Husband Christ".  A more befitting name to name the bride of all the nations of the world

So then Adam who refused to give her prohecy inspired from above was not deceived directly by the father of lies he blamed it on the wife

Genesis 3:12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

1 Timothy 2:14 And Adam was not deceived(directly) , but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

Jaime & Garee, The English Standard Version renders "servant." Of course, a servant is a deacon but apparently without any kind of rule/leadership over others. Thayer says:

"A deacon, one who, by virtue of the office assigned to him by the church [congregation], cares for the poor and has charge of and distributes the money collected for their use."

On the other hand, elders/supervisors/overseers lead and instruct, basically by persuasion as opposed to commanding.

Hi Thanks for the reply..

In respect to the priesthood of mankind it would appear that women are  used to represent the whole church as the bride of Christ. The preacher of the gospel Like the prophet apostle Deborah .

The woman or bride is the preacher and the husband represented Christ not seen who prophecies, so she can preach .Sends them husbands and wife two by two .Reckoned after the same priestly order of Moses like Adam used to outwardly represent Christ and Aaron like Eve (Timothy the chaste virgin bride the new creation.) Aaron represents the wife

Exodus 7 King James Version And the Lord said unto Moses (Like Adam), See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet. Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron (like Eve)thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.

Adam to represent Christ failed to protects the priestess Eve by not sharing prophecy. Satan knowing she as a earthen vessel was designed as the weaker vessel as one that received prophecy and not like Adam or Moses, ones that did prohecy.

Satan the father of lies Declared four lying words of false prophecy .Neither shall you touch. The two building blocks of false pride the devils weapon of warfare.

The lust of the flesh a desire to see the nakedness' of the surrounding tree hidden as a parable in the center upon fulling the lust flesh then lust of the eye the touch of death, the fruit of false prophecy

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

The ministry is always of two working as one a two fold work as a gift he sends prohecy apostles and upon hearing it. It works mutually in both both receiving the same understanding .Two witnesses .never by one

Satan's goal to divide that which God calls one and call that one which God calls separate .revealing he has no hidden spiritual understanding of the faithfulness of Christ. Satan not subject to the gospel the mysteries of His faithful parables

Saying in Romans 16 no division the two serve as one . Like Mary and Martha both necessary . worship and service . Mary by grace chose what the eyes cannot see worship of God . the will and do work.

No division between man and women. Jew or gentile.  Two or three gathering together under the hearing of his living word he is there working individually in each one .A family His witness to mankind

Romans 16 :17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

The mutual faith Christ in us. .Not after man or woman

Roman 1:11-16 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established; That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles. I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise. So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
