When looking at the parable. I would offer---Give us today our hidden manna the spiritual born again food not seen. Demonstrated by Moses hidden manna hidden understanding used in parables taste like honey. .Hid inside the golden ark. Gold the only rudiment of this world given the God alone good approval to represent faith the unseen eternal things of Christ  The Bible on the outside revealed what is hidden 

Deuteronomy 31:26 Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.

The meat (spiritual food)the apostles knew not of .The double blessing food .

Food to both (the key) give ear to the undestanding of the Holy Father and empower mankind to do it to his good pleasure  The key "both" to hear and do . Not just "let there be " and nothing appeared but coupled with "it was God alone good".,

Philippian 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good  pleasure.


John 4:33-35 King James Version Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? Jesus saith unto them, My meat is (both ) to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

Yoked with his labor of love our daily sufferings the pangs of hell are made lighter with a living hope beyond the grave. .
