Fantasy Baseball Anyone?

Kevin, I wish you all the best and hope you have a great time with the fantasy league. My participation would mean I have to keep up with MLB, whom I am currently boycotting.  Kinda sad, really.... I've been a baseball fan since I was a little kid.  I'll follow college baseball again this year and leave it at that.  Perhaps sanity will once again prevail and we won't seen pitchers being re-signed at the rate of $1 million/win (Greg Maddux...)

Of course, I guess I could draft a team and then "let it ride," and you all could tell me how I'm doing ;-)

I've got a team going in a random free Yahoo league.  I've played two years, won my league one year, finished in the middle of the pack the second.  I'm really too much of a team fan to be a good fantasy player.  If the league's free, I'd be interested.

(btw, I'm going to be nice and not ask Jeff if he's quit watching movies because of the absurd salaries the stars earn ;) )

But I think I'm gonna look into changing the team's name.  "Randy & The Rockets" is a bow to Randy Stonehill.

But I think I like better the name I had in another league a few years ago, when I lived in a more central part of the state and followed more college basketball than I do now:

The season is underway.  I  :inlove: this time of year!  I tried to get tickets to the Rangers home opener today - and I could not find two tickets together in the entire Ballpark.  Oh well, maybe another day.

As of now, three members from the GCM board have signed up (DGDODD, SAMLOVEALL, and myself).  My brother also has a team, and he is the commissioner.

For those interested in having a team, here is the information you need.

It is free, and is hosted by yahoo.  All you need to play is a yahoo identity.

Once you get that, you can go to yahoo fantasy sports, and enter our league.

The league ID# is 27987
The league Password is Kevin

This is going to be fun!  My team's name is Pain Free Patriots.  Last year, I finished at the bottom.  Although Spurly says the penant is his, I believe my Patriots will steal it away.   :D

Thanks for the opportunity to be in a league with the GCM gang.  I finally registered a team, the Hornets, in honor of my daughter's high school team.

I didn't notice draft info.  Will we have an automatic draft or a live one?  When will it be?
