This is not uncommon in the south. We rarely get below freezing temps that last long enough to solidly freeze a pond, but people still take chances and try to walk on frozen ponds.
Three brothers, ages 6, 8, and 9, died here in north Texas when the youngest brother fell through the ice on a pond and his brothers tried to save him.
An elderly man fell through a frozen pond here in the DFW area and passed, too.
Of course it's sad about the elderly man, but losing three of your small children at once like that?? I can't even imagine the grief.

Please include these families in a prayer.

Very sad.

This is really so sad, bringing tears to the eyes.
Three little dear children of God Almighty, who are no more,
but what will be remembered always is that despite their little ages,
two brothers tried with all their courage & strength to save their third little brother,
how brave.
There must a unimaginable sorrow in their family,
but the courage & love of the two dear little children trying to save their little brother will be remembered always.
May their little souls rest in peace with God who is our Heavenly Father.
And may God give peace to their parents & families.

May the Elderly person's soul rest in peace & may God also give peace to the family of the elderly person, who fell through the frozen pond.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
