I have read the Koran (that's how it is spelled in my copy).  I appreciate the recommendation of something to go along with it, that a follower of Islam would call accessible.

As I posted earlier, I've read the Koran (and the Book of Mormon, and so on), and I DO appreciate hearing about some sort of commentary, or whatever, to give me a fuller picture of what a Muslim might understand from it.  I no longer have the luxury of living near/having access to hot-and-cold-running Imams, Rabbis, etc.; I suppose it wouldn't be hard to contact a couple of 19-year-old Mormon 'elders'...

Heaven knows books like those read like an LSD trip to the Christ-minded Christian.  But, well, I guess y'all can get ahold of our administrator & have him delete the thread, thus wiping its unclean pollution off of our pristine, 100% mind-of-Christ boards...

I wasn't going to reply to this thread, but I can't stand it any longer. I'd like to say that I don't appreciate it. I don't come to this board to get recommendations from (I gather) pro-Islamic people about pro-Islamic books. My! How un-politically correct of me! Phhfffffttt ....
But anyway, if anybody does want to read this allegedly bliss-producing, truth-encompassing book, you can download it for free at a site called guidinghelper.com [site address corrected]... not that I'm gonna, ya understand.

Don't anyone misunderstand me. I'm all for being nice to people, but I'm not gonna be like "oh, nifty!" when someone comes along trying to peddle something that is against my faith.  And I'm sure not gonna thank 'em for it.

Looks rather spam-ish to me -- the kind of post that could be developed and easily cut-and-pasted at a wide range of sites.  I would have liked to have seen something like, "I know this is a Christian discussion board, but thought you all might like to see..."  

We'll see if doubletee has any further involvement in this discussion... until then, count me skeptical.

Sometimes it's hard to tell if the writer's using English as a second language or as a 45th.

Also, it's not too hard to set something up so your message looks as if you are an earnest but ungrammatical foreigner :D
