Last I heard she was in an "up" cycle of her family's wild health problems ride.  Her son ended up just having a mysterious anomaly w/ his lymph nodes, not the possible cancer feared.

Looking forward to her "return" and an update on everyone's condition these days.

Hello Janine ... B.H.! How wonderful to see you back ... The saga with my son continues. He is an oncology patient now. He does not have a malignancy, but on further examination his tissue reveals florid follicular hyperplasia meaning the cells in his nodes are getting larger and changing shape. The doctors think the lymphadenopathy --  chronic persistant lymph swelling -- in his neck might be presenting early signs of lymphoma (rare, but a few case histories reveal that it happens. Unfortunately there are no studies on this.) They are watching him carfefully. We are in the clinic every week. He sees doctors almost every other day and between those visits he is seeing a Chinese healing practitioner. Our doctors actually encourage some alternative medicine saying that they have seen it help many oncology patients with immune problems.

Please continue to pray that God will heal our son.

Blessings to all during this holiday season.

Patricia,

My wife had something similar to that when we first got married.  A number of lymph nodes in her neck swelled up and it lasted for a for a couple of years .  They put her on mega doses of antibiotics (which gave her the worst yeast infection I have ever seen).  She had surgical biopsies after the antibiotics but pathology couldn't give us an answer to what it was.    They finally went down after several years.  Linda thinks they were related to birth control pills that she quit taking but none of the docters could ever tell us one way or another.  The point being there might be something in his environment that is causing the problem.

Just a thought when you starting describing the symptons.

How fragile indeed is our time on this planet. If we have been here 100 years we still only have today. But, with God we have the promise of not being constrained by time. Still, as a parent, I know how distressing it is to have a child who is struggling physically. My prayers go out for you and your son!

Well, you guys didn't eat her as part of the Thanksgiving  celebration did you?

Where has she been?

I am glad things seem to be working out better for her.

janine

Well, I'm glad you weren't facing some sort of cut-and-dried, it's-malignant-now kind of thing.  Always better to get after it early.  Will pray for him, of course.

Everyone else doing OK?

How are you?

Wiley,

It does sound like the same road my son is on. He finished the mega round of antibiotics (five times the normal dose) two weeks ago and it did no good at all. We had chiropractic and acupuncture today and he has blood tests again next Wednesday ... we'll see. Your news is encouraging ... maybe it's just a weird reaction to something. We are all so fragile ... like vapor.
