Mountain View,Arkansas is the hillbilly capital of the world.They draw tourists from everywhere just to observe their hillbilly ways.Their idea of community improvement is painting the outhouse.

Okay.  Not really. But this is what I get for saying that around here we've always thought The Beverly Hillbillies was a documentary.

Some of you may have heard that CBS is travelling the country looking for the perfect family for their new reality series "The Real Beverly Hillbillies".  They're in my neck of the woods here in West Virginia this week, and everybody's up in arms.  The secretary of state even issued a public statement warning people that CBS's intentions might be less than honorable.

But still. . . .

Reports are they're going to put a backwoods family up in a real Beverly Hills mansion for a year, give them $5,000 per day for spending money each, plus an extra hundred thousand each at the end of the year.

Hey, where do I sign up to be exploited? ;)

I'm not surethey could do that with backwoods -- ah, backswamp -- Cajuns.

By a couple months into it we'd have the camera crew and host all converted to our ways & we'd not want to go inside for any interpersonal shenanigans to be filmed.

We'd also all be eating things the neighbors would rather protect.  It wouldn't be pretty.
