Does your church have a motto or theme?

[Arkstfan]

Our church is
CrossWalk Family of God
a church of Christ where grace and love abound

If we did, I couldn't find it.  And believe you me, I've been digging.

Mine is "Leave me alone kids, I'm on the computer." LOL

I'm sorry to say it is probably summed up on our web site. When you go to the web site you can click on a link titled, "Who We Are". Sounds good so far.

Then when you click you are presented with a photograph of a portable marquee sign in front of our building that says, "It is Better To Suffer Being Wronged, Than To Be Wrong."

I'm not kidding. Who wants to come?

University City Church of Christ
Better, Stronger, Faster...

or maybe its:

University City Church of Christ
Now More than Ever

[Barb1957]

Ours has a mission statement ... does that count as a theme/motto? It says: "The West End Church of Christ exists to glorify God by consecrating ourselves before Him, communicating His Word, creating an environment that fosters personal and family growth, caring for the poor, and carrying the good news of Jesus Christ to the lost."

[spurly]

I am always interested in the pithy mottos and themes of churches.  The church I currently serve has the following motto:  Know Jesus and Make Him Known[/i].  This kind of sums up what life is all about.

What is your church's motto?

Hey, didn't we do this before? Anyway, here goes... ;)

The mission of the metropolitan church of Christ is to help people develop into fully functioning followers of Christ.

A fully functioning follower:

*   Matures through discipleship to evangelize
*   Magnifies God through praise and worship to exalt
*   Maintains Relationships through fellowship to encourage
*   Ministers through servanthood to edify

Ours is so long it takes up half of the back page of the bulletin and no one knows what it says!     I would tell you what it was but I would have to go get the bulletin.

[marc]

"NUM, ME VEXO?"   :p

[seekr]

marc, does that mean vexed? Did you want to know why that is my motto? Since I do not go to church and I fellowship here...hence, my motto. I think its kinda cute.

[marc]

Since no one has translated it yet, let's just say that according to my sources, VEXO can translate as worry, NUM can translate as What.  As for ME, well. . .  :saint:
