Son of a Preacher Man

Leaving to visit Kassey & her mother today in Ft. Worth.  Will be gone for at least three days and don't know what from there.  I don't know what to expect when I get there, either.  Please pray!

Again on a networked computer at UNA that permits no cookies;

May God bring His own special deliverance in this situation....And may God give you wisdom and strength as you minister.

Son of a Preacher Man

Back home today.  Thank you for the prayers.

This is one fiesty little girl.  I know what the doctor's are saying, but Kassey seems to have other ideas.  She's alert and just about mean-as-a-hornet because she doesn't want to be there.  What to make of this?  Only the Lord knows.

Next week they will try to take her off the machine one last time and it will be "sink/swim" to quote the mother.  They will most likely be signing a DNR, so continue praying.

Thanks to all my brothers and sisters on this board for your love and your prayers.

Sorry if I've been a little snippy on the board of late, but lots of stress.  I know many of you have been praying on behalf our Kassey (a baby girl in our congregation) and she has taken a downward turn.  The hospital has put the family and I on notice that she could go at anytime.

Continue praying for Kassey... continue praying for the family... and please continue praying for me, their inexperienced minister.

janine

Nah, you've not been especially snippy, and we'd forgive you if you had been.

 Hold her, Jesus.

You got it, Soap. Trust. No matter what, our God is ever faithful. That has kept me going more than I can ever express.
Whatever happens, don't worry about what to say ... trust me, the Lord will give you words if needed, and if there are no words, just your being there will mean so much. I know.

janine

Yeah, what they said.

And especially the silence part.  Even if there's nothing special you feel you can say, your being there with/for them will mean more than they can say.

janine

May that meanness prove to be of the Lord, and may she shock everyone with her bounce-back recovery, please it God...
