Did anybody ever see a movie called "Chiefs"? This was a movie about the lives of 3 diffrent police cheifs from a small southern town. The first chief they potrayed was the town's first police chief. This was in the 1920's era. He discovered that a local man was raping and killing runaway boys. But he was kiled in the line of duty before he could make an arrest. The 2nd chief was about a soilder just returning from WW2. He got a job on the police force and was made chief after the chief passed away. He was a mean and hateful person, who chased women and was predjudiced against blacks. He also stumbled upon the first chief's old investigation about the murders of runaway boys. e was killed by the killer of the boys and buried right in his backyard with all the other runaway's bodies. The 3rd chief was a black man who was just a retiring military officer. This was in the 60's era. He also had a secret past that dated al the way back to the first chief. He also discovered the old investigation and began to pursue it. He has some close calls with the KKK. I hope yall get to see this movie. I won't tell yall about the end of the movie cause it would ruin it for yall. This movie was made in Chester SC back in the 80's. I can't remember everybody who played in it, but there was Charlton Heston, and Paul Sorvino, and Danny Glover too. Go to imdb.com and you can see a review there also. So far I have not been able to find this on DVD except on Ebay and they are copies from VHS. I used to have a VHS copy but lost it. I wish I had a DVD copy, but don't trust Ebay.  ::frown::

I saw this a long time ago.  I seem to remember that Keith Carridine was the bad guy.  I also have it in my head that Brad Davis was in it.  I'll check out imdb when I wake up.

In the movie, did they keep getting beat by the Broncos?  I was just wondering if they were true to the facts.

I think this was a made-for-TV production back in the days of the "mini-series."

I remember seeing part of it.  One of the cops had a pretty cool motorcyle.   If I remember correctly,  it was an Indian Chief.

Also in it were Stephen Collins (who was in everything back then) and Billy Dee Williams.  Comments on IMDB seem to indicate it's not on DVD.

I remember it as being a pretty good mini-series.

correction--it hasn't been released in the US.  It seems to have been released in Germany, but the English soundtrack is from the VHS version, so it isn't good quality.  The imdb post said to go to the German Amazon site, www.Amazon.de
