To do what he did he had to have worshiped the DEVIL.

We as Christians recognize Martin Luther as a great contributor to the Christian reformation, however he himself was one flaming Anti-Semetic who would make Reverend Wright look like a rank amateur. Martin Luther said it and with great influence on Hitler; Hitler put it into act. It is the views of Martin Luther that was the premise that shaped Hitler's hatred of Hebraic beginnings and his goal of a Aryan version of that religion that sprang out of Hebraic traditions: Christianity.

I agree................... Don't get used to it though, Hotrod!  ::smile::

And Reverend Wright IS rank!

Mere Nick

I don't agree all that much since Hitler didn't have jack for Christianity, so it seems doubtful Hitler would have much for one of the preachers.

Jaime

Luther was a serious anti-semite though.

Despite Wright's Antisemtism and nonsensical AIDS statement, given his experiences in the era he seen in America, some of the things he said were actually on point.

...so even if we agree on that we probably don't agree that much.... ::smile::

Yes, but it's doubtful Hitler would have been an ok guy but the existence of Luther.

That's true, but if a pillar of the Christian world agrees with his twisted thinking, it probably tends to tighten the twist, or at least help rationalize it in his mind.

Or we could use modern thinking:   Who are we to judge?  Only God knows of his salvation and God loves everyone and His mercy even covers me and I don't deserve eternal life either so everyone is saved no matter what, who, how, when, why, where.  In fact, Hitler is serving communion to the jews in heaven for an eternity.  (We can assume that Jesus might actually be recognized as the Messiah up there)  Prove that Hitler is not saved!  Thus, he is.

                     Adolph Hitler was Evil personified.

Amo

In 1555 Pope Paul IV who previously was an inquisitor, proclaimed the following concerning the Jews in Rome.

Jews are to own no real-estate.
Jews are to hire no Christian servants.
Jews are to no longer ignore the ancient requirement to wear distinctive clothing and badges identifying them as Jews.
Jews are to pay higher taxes.
Jews are to live in a distinctive quarter, cut off from other sections of the city, which is only to have one entrance to be locked at sundown.

The Jews were walled up in a tiny ghetto after the above decree, only four square blocks.  They lost all their possessions and names.  They could not buy, sell, or work with anything new, only old used things.  They were forced to attend Catholic services.  It was three hundred years before they were liberated from the ghetto, only after the papacy lost it's power in the 1870's to a unified Italy.

Any of the above sound familiar?

Within two weeks of Hitler coming to power in 1933, the Vatican Foreign Minister sent him warm greetings, and treaty negotiations began between the Minister and Hitler's Vice Chancellor.  In July they signed a Concordat  and the Vatican became the first foreign power to enter into a bilateral treaty with Hitler.  This concordat involved a secret provision in which the church defended Jews who had converted to Catholicism, but indicated it would have nothing to say about Nazi assaults against other Jews.

I sometimes listen to Live365 at work.  One of the channels is radio broadcasts from WW2.  I noticed a broadcast where it was stated that Hitler was wanting Christianity out of Germany because of the Hebraic origins and he didn't want any competition for control over people.  I'll try to get more details the next time it is played.  The broadcasts are chronological, beginning from the late 1930s through the war crimes hearings.

As an Austrian Hitler was raised a Roman Catholic.  I don't remember exactly when, but at one point the Nazi government issued a public statement that Hitler was and intended to remain a Roman Catholic.

But eventually the Nazi government established something of a government-sanctioned Nazi church that was pretty much devoid of Christianity and membership for all German clergy was more-or-less mandatory.  Clergymen that refused the government church and joined what was known as the Confessing Church (if I remember my reading correctly) often ended up dead or in one of the Germans' concentration camps.

In his book Berlin Diary CBS radio reporter William Shirer commented that Germany was just a pagan society that never had anything more than a veneer of Christianity.

Jews caused the Black Plague.
They Poisoned the Wells of Christians, Killed tens of Millions and then bought the property for pennies on the dollar.
This comes right from Wikipedia.

The Pope and Church confiscated the ill gotten wealth from Jews who made it in USURY (Sound Familiar),
and Subversion. There are also over 58 Child Martyr Saints, killed by Jews in a Ritual Sacrifice
Therer is a Jewess on OPRAH who confessed to such a crime in her familys history for centuries. Im happy to share it on Youtube with you.

Jews were expellled from over 100+ Catholic Nation states FOR A REASON. They were Not victims.

Hitler fought the Jews in WW2 Bolshevik Russian, run by Jews who Slaughtered 66 Million Christians.

Hitler had an agreement with France and England to annex Czech and Austria.
via the Munich Agreement.  Germanys actions were defensive not offensive. I take it youve not heard of the Bromberg Massacre?  Or read the  Jewish TALMUD?

GERMANY DID NOT WANT WAR

"I believe now that Hitler and the German people did not want war. It is true. The Nazis did not want war with the USA or Britain. They would have been very happy to continue annexing and pillaging their weaker neighboring countries without any interference from us or Britain.

Ah, thanks for explaining something for me.  I've read a little Bonhoeffer and that he was part of the "Confessing Church" but wasn't totally sure what that meant.

A pacifist for religious reasons, pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer for a long time refused to espouse violence but finally became convinced that Hitler was so evil that violence was justified in this case. Bonhoeffer had earlier left the Lutheran Church and joined the underground Confessing Church (founded in 1933), which stood in opposition to the German Lutheran Church, which had caved in and sold out to the Nazis. In 1940 he began to act as an agent for Military Intelligence, secretly making contacts and carrying intelligence for the German resistance. His brother-in-law Hans Dohnanyi was a member of the German Military Intelligence Office and secretly a member of the resistance who was vehemently opposed to Hitler, and persuaded Bonhoeffer to work for them. That's how Bonhoeffer became involved in the Abwehr (German Military Intelligence Office) plot to assassinate Hitler, joining in 1939, and was imprisoned in March of 1943, and after being shunted to several different prison camps, ending at Flossenburg, was eventually hanged on April 9, 1945, a mere weeks before the German surrender. There's a movie about his martyrdom which is really good.

A lot of people think Hitler was a practicing Catholic, when in reality he had nothing but contempt for the Catholic Church. He only played at being conventionally religious when it suited him. Hitler's aim was actually to Arianize the German Lutheran Church-which he did, removing any and all Jewish references entirely.

Hitler martyred hundreds, possibly thousands of religious dissenters-Catholic priests, Protestant pastors, Jehovah's Witnesses, etc. But the Catholic Church was always his biggest opponent. He actually seriously considered at one point kidnapping Pope Pius XII, who despite popular urban legends acted heroically to save as many Jews as possible. And both Pius and the Church were thanked in person and by letter after the war by many Jewish rabbis, as well as by no less personages than Dr. Alfred Einstein and Israeli premiere Golda Meir.

Pax.

You for got to mention the so called German lutheran church was made up of both reformed protestants and lutheran protestants
who already had compromised lutheranism and reformed protestanism for the sake of unity.
so what the heck what's  one more compromise with the nazi leader.
of course that woke some lutherans out of their slumber and they left the compromised german lutheran church as did some reformed protestants also.

but i can sure understand why a lot of people  are very disappointed he wasnt tried convicted and then beat to death.

Hitler may not have been a practicing Catholic, but he was very close to Pope Pius XII who wrote him several letters giving thanks to him for helping the Catholic chuch dispose of the Jewish people and the advancment of the Catholic church. If you want to read more about it try reading the book "A woman rides the best". It is a history of the Catholic church.
