Season Finales

Tonight is a Big Night in TV (for me, at least). Smallville and CSI are both supposedly killing someone from the show. I figure Smallville will resurrect whoever they "kill," since that's been their MO in the past, but I'm itching to see what happens on CSI. I don't want them to kill of Jorja Fox's character, but that's certainly how they are playing it up.

Ah, yes. Gotta love season finales. Even better - gotta love the whole series coming out on DVD.

Heroes & Lost

I saw Smallville the other night.  That's the only show I'm really into right now.

Things happened that I didn't see coming.  It sets an interesting stage for next season.

Oh my gosh!  UGLY BETTY!!!  I have no idea how I got interested in the show, but I am hooked. The season finale ended with a nail-biter.  There was so much going on, it was hard to take it all in and keep track of it all. 

Amanda found out that she is (the late) Fay's daughter, Bradford Meade is engaged to and is about to marry Wilhemina, while his wife, whom he's divorcing is in prison for killing Fay.  She escaped to try and stop the engagement; Betty decided to fight for Henry, the man she loves, after he  broke up with his girlfriend, who announces to Betty that she is pregnant.  Henry did not know that his girlfriend had been cheating on him for 2 months with Betty's dentist, so he does the right thing and stays with his girlfriend.   

Still interested??  I know, it sounds like a typical day in suburbia...

To continue...  Betty's sister, Hilda, is happily planning a wedding to the father of her son and they are finally becoming a family.  Hilda's son, Justin,  has a lead part in West Side Story at his school, and his mother is in the audience watching him perform.  The seat next to her is empty.  His dad was to meet them there, but he stopped at a store to buy something for his son on the way, and a guy was robbing the place.  The robber began to hit the store proprietor and he tried to stop him.  He was shot and apparently died. 

Betty only had minutes to stop Henry from leaving on the plane with his girlfriend and tell him that the baby might not be his.  Instead, authorities show up at her door and she had to be the one to tell her sister that her beloved had been killed.  At the same time, the nephew, playing Tony,  is doing the death scene in the play.  Betty goes to the school & calls Hilda out of the auditorium, and you can see Hilda break down and fall to the floor as she is given the news that Justin's dad is dead (apparently).

Daniel Meade (Betty's boss) and his sister (who used to be his brother are racing to the hospital, with his sister driving.  Daniel had OD'd on pills.  His sister had paid someone to kill their father and it ends up they took his car to drive to the hospital.  The paid killer cut the brake lines, and they were both knocked out in the accident.  Will one or both die or survive to continue to run MODE magazine?

That, folks, is how the audience was left hanging.  Phewww!  What a wild ride!!!
  Okay, so it's not Beaver Cleaver, but it does have it's good points.
