So, what does everybody think of the Red Sox this year so far?

My opinion is that many teams look great on paper, but their performance never matches it.  The Red Sox are matching what is on paper this year.

Are you actually saying that the Boston Red Sox haven't been performing well? The team with the best record in all of baseball isn't performing well? Thats just flat out laughable.

Did you actually read what I wrote or are you illiterate?  As a Red Sox fan, I am extraordinarily impressed with their playing this year.

They are obvously of to a good start. But how will they finish? Last year, they got of to a good start also, and were even contending for a playoff spot, but didn't finish nearly as good and were far from making the playoffs. They do have good pitching and some good offensive players, however JD Drew and Julio Lugo are not producing.

What about the Tigers, how do you think they'll do this year?

Don't think the Tigers will hit the World Series again, but they will make the playoffs.

I opened my mouth too soon.  The Sox are just 6-8 in June so far.

Isn't their team motto "There's always next year?"  Just kidding.  One of my officers is a huge Red Sox fan and I was trying to give her a hard time and asked which player was crying after Game 7 in '86.  She looked me square in the eye and said, "Sir, I was two." 



The good news is, some of their players are flying on board for a visit after we leave for Japan!
