I know.  (Are you two always so blunt?)  I was playing on words to make a point.   Besides, what was the context of his quote anyway?  That would drive the appropriate scriptural response, which this one may have been right on!

He was making a point about not setting up checklists for others' acceptability.

He was leaning toward the "arms-around-the-broken" emphasis, rather than the "only those worthy of the Lord allowed" emphasis.

I suppose you could search the archives for the phrase "good Lord's bouncer" if you want the whole discussion.
