I am trying to remember who spoke these words--Spurgeon or Moody?  I think it was Moody.  Correct me if I am wrong but for the sake of the quote I will use him as the reference, okay?
After the Sunday service had concluded the speaker was at the back of the church exchanging farewell greetings to the parishoners as they left.  One older sister, when she got to D. Moody, launched an oration of what she thought should be cut out of the church.  After patiently listening to the dear soul prattle on when she had finished the renowned  preacher said, "My dear Madame.  I will tell you what needs to be cut out of the church today.  Here are my scissors--now stick out your tongue!"
