I am a Roman Catholic Christian, married for 16 years; father of 2 adopted children.  My wife just informed me that she has fallen in love with a women at her work - apparently, they had been infatuated with each other for about 3 years, but never acted out because of me.  Instead of being a faithful, loving, attentive, devoted father; I have been a roadblock to my poor oppressed spouse........

Devastated as I am, I am left to pick up the pieces................

Insight welcome,

Raven, I have prayed for you.  I wish I had some words of wisdom to offer, but I don't.

God bless,

Jimbob

Ravenlorre, I will go to the God of all comfort and strength on you and your family's behalf.

Oh, how awful!

There are no words from us that can comfort as much as the Lord can.  Reach for Him.  He knows all about unfair rejection.

I too am  ::prayinghard:: for you.

You must allow your wife to leave you if that is what she truly wants.

What about the children?  Does she want to take them with her?

James Rondon

So sorry to hear about this, ravenlorre. Praying now for you, for your children, and for your wife that she would come to her senses, and repent.

I will be lifting your family up in prayer.  Keep looking up.  Our Father desires to comfort and guide you.

I have been where you are friend and I can certainly sympathize with you...As bad as you are hurting, your kids are hurting equally....Man , I feel so bad for you and your family. I will ask the Lord to put a hedge of protection around you and your family....But it is very important that you put a huge effort into protecting your children...Lay it all at the Lord's feet. Pray for guidance..Keep us informed of your situation ...God bless you friend...

I am so sorry, I have walked this road and it is not easy. God walked it with me and I believe I am stronger. The pain was terrible, the healing long, but the lessons learned was worth the walk.

I will be praying also.

Raven,

I too pray for you and your family, for repentance for your wife and grace, wisdom, and comfort for you and your children.  A very good book to read - "Surviving an Affair" by Dr. Willard F.Jr. Harley Dr. Jennifer Harley Chalmers.   What sort of support are you receiving from your church?

Blessings,
Sherman
