we need our sleep!

I don't know who coined this: " Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man  healthy, wealthy, and wise."

It made me think of Psalm 127, verse 2:  "It is a vain thing for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows for He gives His beloved sleep."

I don't know about you but when I am fatigued I am prone to all kinds of temptations and run the risk of giving in.  When I am well rested I am stronger.
It is easier to resist.  It is the Holy Spirit that gives us the strength to overcome temptation.  But it is easier to use that strength when our earthen vessels are not weakened by lack a sleep!
