Dear Wiley,

Concerning my post "Do You Believe the Gospel" I noticed that this thread is still locked.

I sent an apology to Charles Sloan about 2 or 3 days ago.  Would you please be so kind as to unlock this thread.  I promise not to call anyone a sinner again.

Robert, the problem was not that you referred to Charles as a sinner, but that you called him "the worst kind of a sinner". This was clearly an attack against Charles, and was not merely pointing out that he is a sinner like all other men, or a sinner that has been saved by the grace of God, through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. The moderators feel that your apology was half-hearted, and did not really address the problem. Instead of apologizing for attacking Charles and calling him "the worst kind of a sinner", you have merely said that you were sorry for calling him a sinner, and attempted to justify yourself and what you did.

(Besides, I bet I have sinned worse and more creatively, with more joie-de-mort and worse effects, than that ol' Charles.  I am so humble, I admit that the Lord had to expend much more effort to save me.  Hmphf.)
