I am so sick of getting throttled, can this be removed?

I don't understand the purpose of that message. I'm in several forums, and none of the others have that. Sometimes there are several new members I want to welcome. It only takes a few seconds to type a hello, and then I have to wait before I can post it. 90 seconds is surprisingly long. Of course, that's an improvement over the length of time it used to be, but I still don't see any need for the waiting when no other Web sire makes you wait to post again.

Many other message boards have flood control.  It's another plus for defeating spam, it makes you think a moment before you run off and do another post.  My other main board makes you wait.

I've only got this message once in the past six months, and I post a little bit.  It doesn't seem to be too hard to deal with.

It is bothersome if you have a handful of short comments to make on three or four threads, I agree.

But I think 30 seconds is not too rough to live with... Do some of y'all bump into it that often? Wow.

Its not that, its that the 30 seconds don't end. You have to close the window and reopen another one, and thus lose your comments.

But as others have pointed out I am a hyper-poster at times, so yes this bothers me!

Um... I haven't noticed that.  I guess when I have hit it, I automatically copy the stuff I've written in case it should get lost in the shuffle.  Then I paste into a fresh screen and roll on.

Yes, unfortunately people love to spam Christian Web sites with some really vulgar garbage. I was a moderator in one when someone made 14 very vulgar posts praising satan and using very vulgar language. I deleted 8 of them, and the owner deleted the rest. Then the second in command, or Administrator (who wasn't a Christian) criticized me for doing that, and I resigned as moderator. Why would a Christian Web site have a moderator or administrator who is not a Christian?

I think maybe I am naturally slow enough that I simply don't bump up against it much anyway.  And that still doesn't explain marc.

And as for a zoo vet being unauthorized -- I think it is, by necessary inference.

Yeah, You're right.  The ark must have been a 'real zoo'.  Imagine how much food it would take to feed all those creatures, and how much waste they must have produced.  (sorry, off topic)
