Charles, thanks, but I must be missing something.  I don't see any names under the administrators.

So, Lee Wilson is the administrator! Correct? And all the rest on the list are moderators?  How does one become a moderator?

That is as far as I can take you, good luck!

Jaime

Charles as you know I am a fairly new Moderator and I was wondering where you found the list of members in that format? Some moderator, huh?  ::blushing::

Besides being the Admin/Adminstrator------he is the owner of the forum.

QuoteAnd all the rest on the list are moderators?

correct

QuoteHow does one become a moderator?

By invitation of the Admin/Administrator/Owner.  IOW, when Lee says he would like to make more moderators, he takes recommendations from the present moderators.  He then decides who he wishes to add to the ranks of moderator.  I do not know the exact guide lines he uses when viewing our recommendations.

janine

I dunno if anyone does know, in detail -- I figure he tries to balance the mix.  It is certain we as a group of moderators do not hold every view in our religious/spiritual philosophies exactly alike.

And just because one is a moderator doesn't mean one actually spends much time here on the boards.  Some maintain membership and moderator status even though they aren't here much -- they remain a kind of "moderator emeritus" I guess.

Some of us started out as moderators when we did not work a traditional "timeclock" job, and have since gone back to work; some perhaps have had jobs that allowed them to be present and sort of "on call", while allowing for lots of personal computer time, and when that changed their time was changed, or cut down...

So, even though we have a lot of moderators, it doesn't mean all of them spend all their time patrolling Lee's boards with cyber-truncheons in their hands.

janine

(I spent all of one sleepless night deleting porn-spam threads a few months ago -- that seems to be my main availability around here, to pop in from time to time, no more than a half-hour here and there pretty much daily -- yet to spend the occasional quite long chunk of time here.)

Speaking of which, my cyber-truncheon broke this morning...can I borrow yours after you go to bed, janine?  I promise to give it back in better shape that I got it   ::smile::

If I didn't have your link, I can't find such a member's list in any buttons I see. Probably just the loose nut in front of my keyboard. ::lookaround::

Jaime

Just AS I Am, PM'd me and gave me the "instructions for dummies version".  ::smile::

As follows for anyone else interested:

*********************

Basically, on the index/home page scroll down to stat's, it's below the recent posts and above the users online ~ click on more stats.

Which will bring you to http://www.gracecentered.com/christian_forums/index.php?action=stats

By members, the very first line, there's a blue highlighted link that tells you the total number ~ click on that

This will bring you to the member page.

From there you can click on any header column and gets stats. So, I think it's position and this will give you the list of moderators.
*******************

I had never clicked the [more stats] button.  ::doh::

This is an odd thread. I mean, the person who started it was a little...investigative. I love my moderators. You guys are just great! I thank God for you!

Is it wrong to ask questions about this?  I was just trying to be informed.  The bible tells us to test the spirit. If we don't ask sometime how can we know or should we just make assumption on things.

I did not do this to offend anyone or their position but to be more informed!

Jaime

I'm glad you brought up the question Remnant, I learned something valuable today!.............though as a moderator, I must maintain my aura of invincibility. ::theblues::

Remnant,

I wasn't getting onto you for starting the thread. It's just unusual. I'm fine with you asking what moderators believe. I just thought it was unusual for you to say you wanted "a list of the moderators for [your] own information so [you] can get aquanted with their views and positions."

I've just never had anyone ask that. But you are welcome to ask it as is clear in this thread still being here. Welcome to the forums.

Oh... I have a question!

WHAT  is the difference in rank or "security clearance" for those who are ... "Lee's inner circle".... or "Patrolling Lee's outer darkness"?

Do they need special skills to be in either of these two elite groups?   ::pondering::

kensington

I've wondered myself... How many are there... who are they?   Now... I can find out.

I mean, afterall .... when you spend so much time on here you have to keep your nails trimmed to type faster... like me. You may as well take the time to figure out where you are and who is running the show!   ::disco::

marc

The "Lee's Inner Circle" thing is based on number of posts, iirc.  10,000 maybe?

kensington

Okay.... one more question...  Are they listed in order of senoirity?  Does that list mean that "Janine" is the top dog on the list of wild cats over there?  I mean... after Lee, of course.   ::whistle::

"Inner Circle" is (probably) automatic.  I always assumed it was, anyway.   Re: number of posts, as was mentioned.

Out here in Lee's Outer Darkness, it's a dangerous job we do.  Lots of mysterious power floating around out here.  You can't be too careful.

We start out looking like these girls:

[youtube=425,350]05UgbSul4Vg[/youtube]

But after you've patrolled the outer darkness for a while you end up looking like me:

janine

What?  Did I file my teeth too sharp?

soaringasaneagle

I have a long way to go before I may be able to patrol the outer darkness...however, not sure I wanna end up looking like Janine. ::crackup::
