Anyone still running older systems?

I recently re-acquired an N64. I had one and sold it when my wife and I were first married to pay some bills. I missed it and someone from church offered to give me theirs...out of the blue...and it was a total coincidence that I mentioned it to the teen son that I was looking on ebay for one.

They gave me one free with almost every game I had before I sold it...plus about 5 others. I went to the local Game Trader and bought the 1 game they didn't have that I wanted for $5. I am now restored to N64 glory with extra blessings.

Anyone else have any older systems they still play? I know my brother has our original NES with Mario Bros., Mike Tyson Punch Out, Zelda, Link, and Mario Bros. 3...but he won't hand it over to me.

I have an old school Atari at my parents house. When I go to visit my brother and I break it out and play Pitfall, River Raid, and several other classics. But the football game is probably the worse game we play, the graphics are Horrible.

Nah.  I've upgraded; I've changed from drawing the games on my tv screen with a magic marker, like we had to do when I was growing up (we were poor and video games hadn't been invented yet) to using a dry erase marker.

My family and I still have a regular nintendo, super nintendo, and a nintendo 64. We like to play old school game sometimes.

It finally died, but up until a couple of years ago, I was still playing the NES that I had when I was 11. :) That thing gave us many, many, many hours of game play. I took it to college, and everybody thought I was nuts, because 1) apparently girls aren't supposed to be gamers; and 2) I was using a seriously outdated system.

If I could find a working one, I'd still play the original Mario Bros.

Do Checkers and Monopoly count as older game systems.  By the way, IMHO, board games are much better than video games for bringing people together.

Yeah, we still use our Winky Dink magic screen to make sure our washable Sharpies don't leave any marks.

Except for, possibly, wii, I tend to agree.

BTW, my son has a number of the older consoles, including, I think, a Sega Genesis, but he prefers to download a lot of the older classics from the Internet, onto his wii.

I have a SNES, N64, and a Color Gameboy. I think there's an old broken Atari around the house somewhere... haha.

We still have and play SNES and N64... we also have game cube, WII, PS2, DSs, and PSPs. Sounds like a lot, but in our defense, we rarely do anything outside of our home and a new game is less expensive than a family of four going out to a movie. We play lots of board games also. (Monopoly, Risk, Clue, Boggle, Uno, Scrabble, etc)

I still have an original Nintendo, a gamebox and an X-Box. I never play any of them. I don't have time. But my 7 year old enjoys it. I want to get a Wii when I get the money because I think it would be a fun family activity.

It actually is, and Animal Crossing City Folk is a good family friendly game.
