" And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them."

Whenever I sign a guestbook at a funeral home or at a funeral service, I always add the verse reference to the above passage.  I find it to be among the most beautifully comforting verses in all scripture.

Of course, since that's clearly what the verse says.  I have not often been to a funeral of anyone who is not in the Lord.
