Hello All,

A good point was made to me today - or rather a good question:  Just how much Bible, how much context, how much learning is necessary to grasp the message that God has tried to get through to us?

So, I propose an experiment.  I've taken a single verse from each book of the Bible - chapter 3, verse 16 (those without a 3:16 got excluded).  Based on just this - a little Bible, no context - is the Bible theme visible?  Is it all coherent?  You tell me.

Gen 3:16   Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire [shall be] to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Exd 3:16   Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and [seen] that which is done to you in Egypt:

Lev 3:16   And the priest shall burn them upon the altar: [it is] the food of the offering made by fire for a sweet savour: all the fat [is] the LORD'S.
