I posted this on the theology forum a while ago, but I thought I'd see what people here have to say. Also this forum is on the history of man and earth, so it seems appropriate.

I believe that after god created the heavens and earth, he also created a race of intelligent beings, who were made to worship god. They had cities, kings, and governments, and probably worshiped god day and night. These physical beings could or could not have looked like us. I do know they were not made in gods image like us. Now Lucifer was their ruler, and brought their glory to god. In Ezekiel 28:13-14, it says that before his fall, he was in the garden of Eden, and walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. Lucifer became prideful and arrogant and began taking the glory for himself. He said in his heart "I will be like the most high". So all powerful god threw him and his angels out of heaven to the earth. Out of Satan's anger, he flooded the earth killing all of these beings setting there spirits free. Thus, demons were born. Now god allowed Satan to flood the earth, because it was all in gods plan. This is where the difference between fallen angels, and demons is understood. Also angels have spiritual bodies, and demons are disembodied spirits, so they have to be two different groups of evil spirits. The fallen angels are the "principalities and powers against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual host of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12). They are above us in the air with Satan. Demons are down here possessing, tempting, and oppressing us while also in hell, torturing damned souls, although fallen angels can do the same, and I'm sure do. The fallen angels are much more powerful than the demons. Demons receive their power from Satan, while fallen angels posses their own power.

If you look in scripture, you can find evidence of this creation. In genesis 1 it states that god created the heavens and the earth. Earth means dry land according to Genesis 10. In Genesis 1:2, "the earth was without form and void and darkness was on the face of the deep". the word form, here translates to "tohuw" which means to lie waste, a desert, in vain. God did not create the world in vain Isaiah 45:18. Void translates to "bohuw", which means an undistinguishable ruin, emptiness. Then it goes on to say "And the spirit of god was hovering over the face of the waters". All of a sudden, the earth, (dry land) is covered with water. There has to be a gap of time between Genesis 1 and 1:2. Also if you look at the meaning of darkness stated here, it doesn't mean absence of light. The word in this verse, translated in ancient Hebrew, is "choshek", which means evil, wickedness, death, and misery according to the bible concordance. This would imply about hell in the center of the earth with Satan, and his angels and demons. Take a look at Jeremiah 4:23-26. This tells about a vision Jeremiah had about when the earth was without form and void. Notice it talks about birds that had flown away, and cities that are broken down. In Ezekiel 28:11-19, and in Isaiah 14:12-21 it talks about when Lucifer was cast out and makes mention to kingdoms, and slaying his own people ect...

If you really think about it, and look in the word of god, it all makes since. People will say "well god created the sun on the fourth day". He didn't create the sun and the moon on that day. It was created long before that. He had just reestablished there light. Genesis 1:16 God says, "then god made two great lights". It doesn't say he created the sun and the moon that possessed the light. In most of Genesis 1, God is reestablishing things. I also believe that the locusts talked about in revelations 9 with Apollyon, the head angel, is yet another creation before all of this. That creation must have done something really wrong in some way to be bound in the bottomless pit. These angels could not be The angels in 2Peter 2:4, because the part of hell that its talking about here is called Tartarus. Look it up in the bible concordance. Those angels were the ones who mated with women to make the giants. look in Jude 1:6-8. They were sent to Tartarus for there sexual immorality with strange flesh (human woman), and its not referring to Soddom and Gomorrah. Its just using that for an example. Anyway this is what I truly believe to be true. I'd like to hear what other people have to say about this subject.

Ramy

I believe that the only intelligent creatures was exist before human race is the angels and they were not living here on earth.
Anyway after a war in heavens the defeated sinner angels fallen on our earth and also some people believe that incedent was before the human creation.
Thank you

The Bible is a record God's relationship with mankind, so it's temporal emphasis is the time period from the Creation of Adam to the eternal destiny of Man in his relationship with God.
There is an indication of events before Adam and Eve, but it does not really go into a whole lot of specifics.

More gap garbage.

What is GAP?

I thought all the details of the war in heaven were in a poem by william blake?? Little extracts of it are in Phillip Pullman's books. AS Christians how can we say what Lucifer did before humans came along? The bible does not give the details of what he did does it?

What is GAP?

I believe that's a reference to the thoughts some have on the first couple of verses of Genesis, where it says that God created the heavens and the earth in the beginning... and then He created what we have recorded in the days of creation.

The "gap theory" is the idea that there may have been an unknown period of time when God initially created everything, after which He destroyed everything... and the verses that follow in Genesis 1 essentially record a second creation, after some cataclysmic event that left the earth "formless and void, with darkness upon the face of the deep."  Some theorize that the fall of Satan may have had some connection to this first original judgment that we're not told much about.

Google the "gap theory" for more information on that.

Once we study the bible carefully there are hints that there was a world before the earth that we have now as well as created beings.

It's not mention in the bible the gap between the creation of Adam to fall
Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2 seems to indicate that there is a gap in it and if considered can be an explanation of many things.

Of course there are also believe that the earth was created in literal 6 days and they do not consider the existence of time beyond this; however there are mounting evidence that there was a world before our world was created and the indisputable support of that is the space which already there and since space is one of time components; time already existed prior to the creation.

Is it wrong to believe in the gap? No! In fact it only shows that our God is a God beyond limit and understanding from eternity to eternity.

Is it wrong to believe in the literal creation of 6 days? No! but it limits our understanding of possibilities.

Which one did i cling to most? I cling in the gap.

Actually it is not a garbage.

brothers and sisters who believe in the gap have much learned and dissected the bible far more than those who believe in the literal 6 days period.

When the bible said God created earth in 6 days does not mean that there was no creation prior to it.

The angels who sung when God made the foundation of the world was created before the foundation of the world was created by God.

If you dont know the story, please read your bible carefully and study hard because i believe you need more to learn here.
