We are in the stages of making the movie "Jesus Goes To Washington."

Do you think audiences would be interested in a story in which the United States is in the midst of internal trouble and Jesus is able to gather individuals together to help bring the United States back to its original Christian values of Peace and Love.

I think you will have far more people who will criticize "your Jesus" as being the "wrong Jesus" based on one trait or another.  Right off the bat, your Jesus bringing the USA back to "Peace and Love" will incite the large number of conservatives to accuse you of using a false Jesus to further a liberal agenda.

I think if the real Jesus did go to Washington today, He'd be killed (IF He allowed Himself to be killed).  In Jerusalem, when He was killed under Pilate, justice was far slower than if He were to appear in the USA today.  I am sure He'd be quickly killed in the USA today, and those leading the charge would be professed "christians", much as those leading the charge to crucify Him were professed "rabbis" (Pharisees and Sadducees).

That would, unfortunately, be the more realistic movie.

But no matter what movie you make you're going to catch flak.  I'm not saying that's right, but it will happen.  Anyway, that's my 2 cents...
