I thought a great place to meet a CHRISTian girl would be church.  I was wrong.  I am on the Praise team, I sing Solo's, in Choir, I was on the rebuilding commity (our church burnt to the ground CHRISTmas Eve 2006.)   But all I can make is friends and threy even seem to use me.  I had a panic attack a couple years ago and now I am no longer allowed to help teach Jr. Church.  I am Bi-Polar but no one looks at that badly, But they still treat me like a leper.  I am giving up on meeting a good single CHRISTian girl.  It does not seem GOD want's me to be happy.  I am 35 and sadly single.

Do not despair.

First of all, please accept that not everyone who is in a relationship is happy.  Many people are very unhappy with their partners.  Therefore do not think that you would necessarily be happier if you had a girlfriend.

Second, the best advice I can give you about finding your ideal partner is not to bother searching.  You will probably bump into her accidentally at some point in the future.  For the time being, try to enjoy the life you have, without yearning for something else, especially when that something else might not be for the best.

I agree with you partially. Your words can be taken to an unhealthy extreme by people who aren't good at finding balance and who take advice too literally.

if a person is totally wrapped up in finding a mate and they are getting frustrated at not finding one, it is helpful for them to spend some time focusing on other things, like career, hobbies, whatever makes them feel useful and good about themselves, this will boost their confidence and take their mind off of their frustration.

But, they should still keep searching for a mate, they should perservere and not give up. The key is to find a balance and not go to the extremes of 1. frantically searching for a mate all day long, and 2. not putting in any effort whatsoever. Neither extreme is healthy.

Yep.  I'm supposed to be not-dating for 4 months.  For some reason, this seems to make me better at talking to women.  Now I'm finding people who are actually interested in going out.

I'm the same, I have no mate.
Here's what I'll do..I'll strive to meet Jesus everyday..because there is so much wealth in His heart and its all for sharing. This life is the equivalent to time spent at a bus stop in relation to the promise. The unsearchable riches of Christ.

Every answer that I  look for in life recently is in the Bible..word of God..The things that a real Christian will have are beyond description in the ages to come.
The future is Bright indeed..it is absolutely fantastic to be in Christ...alive!
Ephesians Chapter 1 , I love it all ..but recently that one stands out...give no room to satan constantly thinking about the promise..redeeming the time.
We as Christians need you fellow Christian..be strong..an effectual member of the Body of Christ..we do need you to be faithful..in prayer and your life as a Christian.
We are in christ Jesus , lets imitate Jesus, humble yourself in Prayer..never mind the rest of the crowd...(just read Jude). You will get help from Christ if you are in need AND PRAYER.
Please yield yourself  to be a vessel to be used of Christ and I'll do the same ..we can do this for each other as well as for Jesus, kneel in prayer as a knight kneels before a King, don't let the devil cause you to frown, master your flesh into subjection.
1st Corinthians 9:24 know ye not that they which run a race run all, but one receiveth the prize ? So run that ye may obtain.
you are in my prayers tonight..for guidance and strength to you.
    later .

Who says your not supposed to date? That's silly. if you are finding women interested in going out, then go out with them!!!

I'm Bipolar also, sometimes it feels like no one wants to be around you even your own family. That is part of the depression, for what ever reason church people in church treat you like it's no big deal, but if they ever have it they know different. Don't get offended but, God may be keeping possible girlfriends away until he can bring you through some of your battles. In the mean time you can try finding a quite place and relax and listen to some praise music. If you want to talk more let me know and I'll be glad to share with you my testimony. I will be praying for you. I believe there is a way we could talk privately, but you would have to ask one of the moderators because I'm not sure how.

Bigdog, If you want to talk to MegaJedi privately Click on the little place where it says IM under MegaJedi's name.  That will send him a Personal Message or "Instant Message".  I'll send you one so you can see what it looks like to receive one (It shows up at the top right corner of this page.)
Blessings,

I'm afraid I can't offer any encouragement. I haven't done any better and gave up looking a long time ago when I realized that I'm meant to be alone. Some of us just aren't meant to be happy. Of course, why would one who is born again and looking for the Lord be happy in this degenerate world where God is hated and shunned and immorality is accepted and preferred?

tracice

hi, my name is tracie.  i am new here. I am a born again christian and i am also bipolar.  I understand what you are going thru.  Just remember Jesus loves you very much and you do fit somewhere. You are one of Gods children and he will see you through.  i know how hard bipolar is.  I have mood swings and sever depression . i have to take meds. and when i stay on them I do much better.  If not for Jesus I couldn't make it . he is the one who gives me strenth each day.  Trust God in your life, let him be your guide.

God Bless

Thank you Tracie, My newest meds make me sick, but they help the swings.  So I guess that is like GOD saying "You may not have human love, But I will always love you."

And thank you everyone who responded.

Well, I know it is probably of no comfort... but it wasn't until I laid down my "desire" to find a husband, and I was happy being a "Christian Single" that the LORD walked my husband right into my life.

Petals

::amen::  Same with me.  What's more, he was 39 when we got married and had not been married before.   We were friends for six years before we got hitched.  Your future mate may be right under your nose, but you may not realize it at the moment.   ::lookaround::

tracice

thanks so much for responding.  I know BiPolar is hard to deal with and most people do not understand it. As long as long as we trust in god, take our meds. and help each other with love and support we will be ok. I love the lord and he is my strength .  If you would like to email me you may do so.  God Bless each one. pray for me.

ps.  Don't go looking for somone.  Just ask Gods will to be done in your life.
at the right time, Gods time, he will send you somone for God knows the desire of your heart.

You seem like a very nice guy and I think there is hope for you. I would recommend trying other christan functions outside you own chruch. Have you though about your courting methods or you courting targets? Don't give up!

Join the club, I'm not dating either. I've never had a date and I've had days when I wished I could have had it sooner. I've asked God why I could not have a date, why I had to fight with the lie of being worthless inside. I have dreams to have a wife, the one that I've always desired but it's not happening yet. It can happen, because I've asked God for alot of things and he's always been there for me. He's grant me the desires of my heart. I know I have to wait a little for my wife but it will happen. Hang in there, you do have a place, You are one of his and he takes care of his children. When God is for you, He's more than world against you!!!! Don't give up, hold on to your dreams! GOD RULEZ!!!!!!

MegaJedi

Thank you all.  As was mentioned in the post above me, I struggle daily that I am not married.  I do not like being alone.  I know with GOD I am never alone, but that does not help the fact that I want to be with someone that shares my love for HIM.  Mind you after 8 years (almost 9 Feb. 12) of being saved.  I still feel I just entered the toddler stage.  And I need help if I want to move on.

I do try to be nice, but their are times and people when it is tough/who make it really hard.  I pray for my enemies, but sometimes I feel that they need to be corrected in their motives.  I mean laughing at a family who just lost their child in a car wreck and insulting the child is wrong in my book.
