An odd glitch

Whenever I make a post every thread in that forum is marked as read, even if I've never opened that particular thread.

Any clue as to why this would happen or how to stop it?

Ok, I think I added a motification that puts a "new" graphic beside the title of a thread within the category. This might help. Take a look.

Thanks!  I'll let you know if I continue to have problems. It doesn't do it every time, which I think is weird, but what do I know?
