The Zeitgeist Movie (original)

First, I will say that all Christian parents need to familiarize themselves with this movie, because your kids are most likely watching it.

I started this as a new thread because I believe "Zeitgeist: Addendum" is the sequel to this one, if I'm not mistaken.

Anyways, I watched this movie last night, and I have mixed feelings about it. The first part declares that Jesus is one of many astro-theological trends that the ancient spiritual world devised as cultural myths. That statement doesn't scratch the surface really, as the makers of the movie tried ever so hard to disprove *Christ* yet portended to dismiss all religion.
Truthfully, this movie is a Spiritual Awareness propaganda film: NEW AGE. I'm totally serious. Watch it, you'll see what I mean.
But, I don't want to be too harsh either, because the film brings up excellent points (backed up by hard evidence) about the background of 9/11, and the American Government in general.
The latter segments of the movie deal with RFID implantation, and... oh man, you have to see this movie.
Really, it ends up being a movie ABOUT PROPHECY, without knowing it. They say to discard Jesus, but at the same time, they give so much evidence in this film that the Biblical prophecies are true! They don't even realize it.
Watch this film, try not to throw up from all the New Age teachings, try not to be sickened by their blasphemy of Jesus Christ (impossible really), but most of all, WATCH THIS MOVIE WITH AN EYE TO PROPHECY!

Ask your kids about it, some of thim will have undoubtedly heard of it or seen it before.

I have not seen the sequel, but I fear it may be even MORE New Age than the first.

I had to double-check, but "Zeitgeist: Addendum" is the sequel, here is the Wikipedia article:

Yes... I know what you mean. Anyone who genuinely has even the slightest respect for Jesus Christ will be mortified by the heresies promoted by the first film.
But... keep watching: as much as they try to discredit the Bible, they end up proving it in the end (ironically).

I heard someone say recently that the devil gives you 90% truth, and 10% lies. Well, with "Zeitgeist" you get 9% of those lies at the beginning of the movie, and 1% at the very end. Everything in the middle though is gold, I'm sort of looking forward to the sequel (as long as it isn't two whole hours of "Jesus was a Myth").
