QuoteThen perhaps you can explain why ALLTHREE branches of Christianity worship on Sunday: Protestant, Eastern Orthodox, and Catholic.

Not all of them do, just the vast majority.  Numbers though, are no indication of truth.  Anyone who has read the bible understands, that it is a rare thing indeed, that the majority are on the side of truth.

Matt 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

The Church of Rome has many daughters.  Many wandered away but never fully separated themselves.  They will either finish the separation, or return to their mother.  This process is well underway.  Sunday sacredness is at the center of this issue, for it is not just a false doctrine, but a blatant attack upon the authority of God.  It is a direct contradiction to what the Lord spoke with His own mouth, and wrote with His own finger to humanity.  This is not to mention, that which He established for humanity at the very creation of this world, before there ever was a Jew.

It is the apex of the abominations of the Church of Rome.  When it is set up by law, in place of the holy, that is God's holy Sabbath day, it will bring forth desolation.   For it is the abomination of desolation.  Just as the rise of the Church of Rome within the Roman empire, and the setting up of this day within the same, brought desolation and destruction upon the same, so to will this happen again on a global scale when the day of the sun is again set up above the holy Sabbath by law.

By  about 500 AD, Sunday sacredness had almost completely replaced the seventh day Sabbath within the Roman empire.  By that same time, the western Roman empire was no more.  It had been destroyed by the unending invasions of the barbarians from the north. They left incredible destruction, devastation, and desolation behind them, everywhere they went.  This process will take place again on a global scale, under the similar influence of the Church of Rome, and the setting up of her day by law above that of God's choosing.  This time though, the judgments will come from God Himself, and are described in the book of Revelation.  They fall upon all those who worship the image of the beast.

You have read, but you have not understood. The Catholic Church never "changed" the Sabbath. The Sabbath (Saturday) and the "Lord's Day" (Sunday) are two different things, and the Catechism makes that plain and clear.

A quote from the Catechism Of The Catholic Church:

CCC 2174 - Jesus rose from the dead "on the first day of the week." Because it is the "first day," the day of Christ's Resurrection recalls the first creation. Because it is the "eighth day" following the sabbath, it symbolizes the new creation ushered in by Christ's Resurrection. For Christians it has become the first of all days, the first of all feasts, the Lord's Day (he kuriake hemera, dies dominica)—Sunday:

CCC 2175 -
Sunday is expressly distinguished from the sabbath which it follows chronologically every week; for Christians its ceremonial observance replaces that of the sabbath. In Christ's Passover, Sunday fulfills the spiritual truth of the Jewish sabbath and announces man's eternal rest in God. For worship under the Law prepared for the mystery of Christ, and what was done there prefigured some aspects of Christ:

Those who lived according to the old order of things have come to a new hope, no longer keeping the sabbath, but the Lord's Day, in which our life is blessed by him and by his death.

The Sabbatrh is for Jews under the fourth covenant given through Moses. Christians are not under that covenant. We are under the sixth covenant established by Christ, and Saturday Sabbath keeping is not part of Christ's covenant.
The Lord's day is the Sabbath.  Lets see what the Bible says:

Exd 16:23  To morrow [is] the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake [that] which ye will bake [to day], and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.
Exd 16:29 See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.
Exd 20:10 But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates:
Exd 31:15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh [is] the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth [any] work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
Exd 35:2 Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death.
Lev 23:3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day [is] the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work [therein]: it [is] the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.
Lev 23:39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day [shall be] a sabbath, and on the eighth day [shall be] a sabbath.
Lev 24:8 Every sabbath he shall set it in order before the LORD continually, [being taken] from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant.
Lev 25:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the LORD.
Lev 25:4 But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.
Deu 5:14 But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
Deu 5:15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and [that] the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.
2Ki 11:7 And two parts of all you that go forth on the sabbath, even they shall keep the watch of the house of the LORD about the king.
2Ki 16:18 And the covert for the sabbath that they had built in the house, and the king's entry without, turned he from the house of the LORD for the king of Assyria.
2Ch 36:21 To fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: [for] as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years.
Isa 56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
Isa 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, [from] doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking [thine own] words:
Jer 17:21 Thus saith the LORD; Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring [it] in by the gates of Jerusalem;
Jer 17:24 And it shall come to pass, if ye diligently hearken unto me, saith the LORD, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein;
Eze 46:1 Thus saith the Lord GOD; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened.

NEW TESTAMENT

Mat 12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
Mar 2:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
Luk 6:5 And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
Luk 13:15 The Lord then answered him, and said, [Thou] hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or [his] ass from the stall, and lead [him] away to watering?

LOL. None of those scriptures - NONE - has the phrase "Lord's Day" in them.

And please tell me: Why is this nonsense posted in the Catholc section when ALL Christians - Protestant, Eastern Orthodox, Catholc -  worship on Sunday?

I have read my Bible, and I unserstand that you speak heresy. There is not one scripture where Jesus or the apostles teach Christ's disciples to observe the Saturday Sabbath.

What is the diference between the Lord's day and the fact that Jesus said that He was Lord of the Sabbath?  After all the overwelming evidence presented here?

The bottom line is this:

Romans  6:16   Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness ?

The RCC says to worship on thier appointed day.

God says to worship on HIS appointed day.

The choice is now up to the indivdiual person..... whom they will obey ?

The reason for this  is the fact  that most Jews already kept the Sabbath and  Sabbath teaching was not Jesus' priority at that time.  God bless.

But most disciples were not Jews after Paul went on his journeys. And, passages of Scripture such as Acts 20:7, 1 Corinthians 16:2, Colossians 2:16-17, and Revelation 1:10 indicate that, even during New Testament times, the Sabbath is no longer binding and that Christians are to worship on the Lord's day, Sunday, instead.

The early Church Fathers compared the observance of the Sabbath to the observance of the rite of circumcision, and from that they demonstrated that if the apostles abolished circumcision (Gal. 5:1-6), so also the observance of the Sabbath must have been abolished.

You went off course a little bit.  But That's OK.   Paul in Colossians 2:16 is not talking about the 7Th day Sabbath, he was talking about the Jewish feast days.  They were call sabbaths because sabbath simply means to stop.  During these festivities the Jewish people also ate and drank certain foods and drinks related to thouse feasts.  Many new Christian Jews thought that they still had to keep thouse feast days.  This is why Paul said what he said.  Just because the apostles met the fist day of the week does not mean at all that the 7Th day Sabbath was done away with.  There is nothing in the Scripture that supports such a thing.

Jesus never told the disciples to worship on Saturday.
BUT, the Bible tells us to follow Christ's example.

1 Peter  2:21   For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

2:22   Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

ALSO....there is the fact that Jesus Christ NEVER told anyone, to observe Sunday (1st day of the week) in honor of HIS Ressurection day.

Quote
We are not Jews.
The 7th day sabbath was not given to the Jews only.
The Bible says that the sabbath was given to 'man'.

2:27   And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
2:28   Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

As the 7th day sabbath was created some 2300+ years..BEFORE...there ever was a Jew.

Just as the world would not have the canon of scripture without the Catholic Church, so too would they not have the Lord's own day as the day of worship.

What good is having the 'canon of Scripture',  if they don't do what it says ?

such as what, specifically?

Eat His flesh and drink His blood for eternal life? we do that.

I was refering to the Laws of God, that the RCC attempted to change from what the Bible really says to do.

Exodus   20:3   Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

20:4   Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth:
20:5   Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them:
for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me;
20:6   And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

20:7   Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

20:8   Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
20:9   Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
20:10   But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates:
20:11   For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

20:12   Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

  20:13   Thou shalt not kill.

20:14   Thou shalt not commit adultery.

  20:15   Thou shalt not steal.

20:16   Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

20:17   Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that [is] thy neighbour's.

LOL have you read the ten commandments in the catechism?

they contain every bit of what you pasted.

My goodness, just more proof of the ignorance of this generation. Please refrain from your calumny and detraction concerning the faith until you have actually read the teachings. You may be pleasantly surprised, as I was.

OH....does the catechism mention that the 7th day sabbath, is on Saturday, and is the 4th commandment ?

And is the 2nd commandment, in the catechism....which says:
Exodus  20:4   Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth:
