The unloved one

Does he help people meet or just help them stick it through the suffering of togetherness and the outside complications.

If we are following Him and allowing Him to direct our lives then he definately does lead us to the right person at the right time. He has done that for me. I am divorced and so is my husband and when we met 4 years ago, it was like a miracle the way we met. God had it all planned out, and we are so right for each other and so happy.
There is no 'suffering in togetherness' as you say. God tells us that we are to enjoy each other, and in a marriage that he has started, this happens.yes, there are ups and downs but togetherness brings great joy and happiness, not suffering.

Hmmmm. How do you do it? Trusting another living being like that,  a spouse, a boyfriend, a girlfriend, maybe I am the one outta touch with the world. Following God seems to do right by you guys but for myself I just don't see it. Maybe God wanted me to be this kind of creature, lonely and loved yet at the same time hateful and self-loathing to the point of being unable to be loved in the first place. I kinda find it funny in a morbid way, the mange covered dog watching the sheep through his cage.

zoonance

Depends on what kind of mange.  Sarcoptic mange is easier to treat than demodectic mange, though sarcoptes is zoonotic.   Chihuahuas can watch the sheep without the teeniest inclination of wanting to herd them, chase them, protect them.   Sheep dogs want to herd.  Some breeds would want to kill.  It would be a canid psychological deviant who would want to be a sheep instead.

We were all mange covered sheep once though.

I think that trusting someone is a decision. My ex husband betrayed me in a terrible way but I was still able to trust another man and have now married him. I still have the occasional fear that I will loose him also, even though he is the most trustworthy man I have ever known because of my past. I am by nature a trusting person I think so that helps of course.
By the way God DEFINATELY doesnt want you to stay as you are feeling unloved and hating yourself, but unless you turn this all over to Him and live His way, nothing will change. You really can do something about this situation and turn your life around.

lol, yeah. he arranged for shotgun marriages, divorces, abortions, debauchery, cheating.

either he is having "fun" making fun of u, is terrible at arranging relationships, or is just a figment of your imagination.

HE doesnt do any of these thngs, WE do.

God's original command to Adam was to "go forth and have sex and bear many children".

i do believe that He knows what relationships we're into in advance.

SpiritHappy

God definately arranges couples. I was in the world of filmmaking and saw so much stuff. At one point I thought I was meant to be alone after alot of disappoinments. Then I met my mate from Europe by a chance
encounter .

Since then many miracles happened with people hearing the good news because of us meeting.

God arranges mates when HE is ready for HIS purpose.

You forget the lonely times fast  when we met the right person it will happen to you also.  ::smile::

Only from a Vet.  That was good.

As with all things, God has something (someone) in mind.  But that doesn't mean He forces us into it.

If we had no free will, then we wouldn't have any divorces, I think.

most difinately!
I had been praying for the woman of my dreams and i met her on the internet by a very slim chance.I knew the moment I saw her and there have been plenty of confirmations. There have been hundreds of coincidences that couldn't have occured by chance and we have almost everything in common.Even our differences compliment each other. She is everything I ever wanted and I'm everything she ever wanted.

Firewing

I personally want God to lead me to the "right one".

I am 27, single.  My (only) relationship so far only lasted for 1 month.  Kinda sad...I really thought she was the one for me as we both had similar medical issues in the past.   But it simply wasn't meant to be.

I've been praying for years..literally....years (probably 8 years) for God to lead me.  I haven't seen that happen yet

I know I'm meant to love someone because I have a lot of love inside of me waiting to come out, but I've been holding it back because I want to fully pour out my love for "the right one".

I really hope God has someone in mind for me.

Huscarl

I sincerely hope not, because if he does than he clearly doesn't want me to be happy.  Not to sound blasphemous, just ironic

I've prayed many times on this issue and have tried to put myself out there a few times, I don't want to be alone simply because I refuse to give people an honest try, but it never works out and ends quickly.  No christian girls ever seem to want me, and non-christian girls do until they find out my boundaries as a Christian.  Damned if I do damned if I don't

Dont give up as my son met the girl of his dreams last year and he is 31 now. He wasnt in the right place spiritually before that and God had to draw him back and do some healing and work in him first. I always told him that God had someone very special for him and I was right. She is everything I could ever have wanted for him and more, a lovely Christian girl.
Dont compromise with a non Christian girl. besides that if they aren't interestd in you becuase of your moral standards, then what does that say about them?I love a man with high moral standards myself, and I have one in my husband. if they cant deal with that then they arent worth havinh anyway.

By the way have you tried the internet?. I met my husband on a christian dating site here in the UK and my son met his girlfriend this way also.It can take time, I was on one for two years before we met,but it is getting very common for people to meet that way.

Huscarl

I've looked into them, but at this point the biggest reason I haven't done more than gander at them is because of the monthly fee.  I still have one more year before I'll have my teacher's certificate and until then my income is next to nothing, so $30 a month over the course of a year is a big deal for me.  On an unrelated note it's also the reason I never ordered Rosetta Stone to learn Japanese like I wanted...haha

I know not to give up, but it's hard to keep trying.  I'm also very unimpressed with most people my age, they're all so self-centered and convinced that drinking/partying is just how you have fun.  It's hard to be excited about someone who's attitude towards life is "go with the flow"

Far as I'm concerned it's flowing straight to hell, why doesn't anyone care!

But I'm still hoping God is just telling me to wait.  You just have to have faith that there's a reason behind it, maybe God does sometimes arrange relationships, if he does than there's no better matchmaker out there (not even Yenta....and I'm crossing my fingers someone else gets that joke)

Hi.  There is a free one (internet Christian dating site) that I can recommend to you.

I have met some nice people on there, no one (yet) that I would marry or date, but we shall see.  At least you are "getting out there", so to speak.  God bless.
