I f you have problem with burning numbness in you legs and feet.
I just started walking a few time a day and it really helps the circulation.

Walking can lessen a multitude of physical problems.  Good advice even for people without diabetes.

My 12 year old daughter has Diabetes type 1 and exercise is strongly recommended by doctors to keep the circulation going well and for overall good health. (lucky she loves to run!!  ::smile::)

My wife had type 2 diabetes, and insisted that I rub her feet for protracted periods most every night before going to bed.  Before she began having heart problems she did like to walk, but got out of the exercise habit altogether after having an aortic valve replacement.  Regrettably, a little over a year and two thirds she died of ventricular fibrillation.

I have Diabetes 2. Arthritis makes walking very difficult, but I occasionally walk about 3 miles--slowly. Anything less than 3 miles isn't worth the effort for me since I have to put on a sweatband, knee braces for the pain, and headphones to listen to the Bible while I walk. With all that extra equipment, I have to walk at least 3 miles.

I just started the Bible over and am in Genesis. I think I will go out this afternoon for a walk. I've read the Bible through several times and listened to it twice, and I just started listening to it for the third time. I used to listen to gospel music while walking but decided to buy Bible tapes and listen to them. I'm old fashioned and prefer cassette tapes to CD's. One tape lasts 45 minutes on each side, and I only need to take one tape with me on my walk. It usually takes one side and part of another on my walk.
