dream interpretation

I had a dream last night that I was being haunted by a demon.

It was completely realistic and vivid, I even acknowledged that this is too real to be a dream while I was dreaming!

It started as I was woken up from a dream I was having earlier.  I was awake, in my bed, alone in the darkness of my room.  I felt very nervous and felt like something was in the room with me.  I could feel something touching me and caught glances of strange things in my room, and I knew something wasn't right. 

I felt around for the remote for my light, but when I clicked the button, the light wouldn't turn on, so then I found the remote to try to turn on the TV but it wouldn't work either.  I was in complete darkness and scared to death.  Then suddenly I was being dragged right from my bed into my closet, and things started going crazy.  I felt smothered, couldn't move, couldn't talk, while my room started to be terrorized by an evil force.

After a moment, I was able to speak and move so I ran into my sister's room and held on to her while objects were moving all over the room, like there was a small tornado in the house. 

As this was happening, From my sister's bed, I could see a man sitting on a chair in my room.  He looked like a regular man- young, wearing a flannel shirt, with long, dark hair, parted down the middle.  I could tell he was evil just by the look in his black eyes.

Once I saw him, he moved and was immediately beside the bed where my sister and I were screaming and watching in disbelief.  I could not escape it; it was terrifying!  I tried everything I could; I told him that I could not be shaken, I screamed I won't give in.  Nothing changed.  I yelled that I understood that this was NOT a dream, I understand that this is real!  I didn't know what to do. 

Things escalated and the demon spoke.  He put his arms out, as if to touch me and said in a low, frightening tone, "FLESH BE DOWN," amidst the whirlwind taking place around us. 

Desperately I yelled at him, "The power of Christ compels you."  But it felt like I was saying a line straight out of a movie.  But right then, I was finally able to wake up and it was over.

I have never had such a vivid, terrifying dream like that before, ever.  I don't know what "flesh be down" means, but I do know that force was evil.  I thank God that he let it end, but the only reason it did was because I turned to Jesus Christ for help. 

I am still confused why I had the dream.  Am I looking too much into it, or is God trying to tell me something? Is he just  trying to convey to me that Christ really is the only way?   

I am still shaken by this event.  Even in the previous nightmares of my past, I have never been so scared and convinced that it was reality.  I'm a relatively happy dreamer, and I hardly ever remember enough to write about my dreams later.  What could it mean?  I don't understand "Flesh be down" and the fact that I can't understand it makes me worry more like perhaps it wasn't just a manifestation of my own mind. 

Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for reading.

  BE NOT AFRAID!!!      I personally believe all dreams come from God. He uses every day occurrences to reveal spiritual truth. In the Bible when a believer in YAH had a dream, Yah revealed the meaning of the dream. Our Father will tell you what he is speaking. Do not seek the opinion of men God through the Holy Spirit will speak. HE already has given you a place to start.  FLESH BE DOWN.  I'm excited for you, Yah is calling; Lift your vision Higher.

Hey now, that wasn't  yelling, I was just making a very pleasant request...

As for the OP, I would urge you to open your Bible and Pray...pray hard...given the extent of your dream, you may even want to fast while praying and reading God's Word.  Ask Him for the meaning behind your dream and for protection.  Read Psalm 91.  I will pray for you brother.

Did you ask your Sister about this? Did She have any strange dream or anything last night?

No! I called her and asked her, but she said she couldn't remember. 

I feel like God put her in my dream to give me strength, because I wanted to protect my little sister.  If she wasn't there, I don't know what I would have done!

If it helps, it's close to the full moon, which induces all sorts of weird dreams in people due to the effects of gravity.

Dreams, generally speaking, are psychological phenomena. They are one of the ways our psyches process what is going on with us on a daily basis.

The first place to start is to take a history of your recent past. What have you thought, what have you seen, what have you read, what have you heard in the last couple or three weeks?

What was your family of origin like? What roles did you play in it? What relationships meant most to you?

It may be that you are simply unsure of your faith, that your sister represents mom, and mom, security.

You can stop dreams like this but tell yourself if it happens again you will turn around and hold your ground ,but tell him he must flee in the name of Jesus,
And tell him to flee by the Power of the Holy Spirit, tell him you are protected by the Blood of Jesus. I'm not nuts I have been through similar dreams, and when you run in fear he will keep after you. Here is a good memory verse to remember, 2 Timothy 1:7
   One more thing you could do is cleanse your room and your sister's of things that don't belong, ask God to show you what if anything should not be kept.
Another good verse is in James 4:7 repeat these verses until you can speak them by memory. Also you can ask God to surround you with good Angels as a hedge of protection.  One thing that is bad is today's music, if you get rid of anything, through it in the trash don't give it to anyone else.
Father in Heaven, right now I pray that you give this person a good night rest that only you can give and keep the enemy away from her at all times.
