Genesis 22:

16) And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:

17) That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

18) And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

Notice the first thing, that God did not just randomly bless Abraham but it was specifically because he withheld not his son from God. God did not just say I am going to bless thee because you believed that I exist because if that be the case, then faith could be alive without works and we know that in James 2:20 it state that "faith without works is dead

Your posts are always like a well rounded meal from that big table on high. The spiritual food that one can grow on and get off the milk.
God says he gives the deeper things to those who are weaned from the breast.  If one keeps a baby on nothing but milk that child will eventually die.
How our Lord is treated today by those who love the flesh and know nothing of the spirit is no different than when he walked the earth.
His covenant with Abraham was not without commitment -

Genesis 26:2  And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:
3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;
4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;
5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

What a deceived people in our land and churches who believe that God will reward the wicked.
