Fundamental Gospel Message

Man, who like God, is a spiritual being, was created to live with God and by His grace.
Man became separated from God, captured by satan, and faced with a certain fate of failure ... and eternally so.

Genesis 1, 2
Genesis 3:1-20
Revelation 12:9
Romans 3:23
Romans 5:12
John 8:44
Ephesian 2:2,3

1. Immediately after man fell into his impossible problem, God promised the solution.
There is no hope from the seed of Adam, because it has become "infected" and captured by satan, therefore God promised the seed of the WOMAN, His seed, Who would ruin satan and his work.

Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

2.This coming Messiah, of the seed of the woman, was repeatedly referenced and promised throughout the Old Testament.

Isaiah 7:14
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel

3.We were in bondage to satan from Genesis 3, but according to His time schedule, God has sent the promised seed of the woman to free us completely.

Galatians 4:3,4
Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law

4. Jesus IS the Christ. The end. He completely fulfills the Old Testament roles of Prophet, Priest, and King.

Matthew 16:16
And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

5. Christ has fully ended the destruction satan brought in Genesis 3, in the lives of all who believe and receive Him - John 1:12.

1John 3:8
For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

My favorite devotional is on Philippians 4:4-9.

QuoteRejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
(Philippians 4:4-9 NASB)

My favorite sermon is anything drawn from the book of Romans.

I suppose I have 4 favourite topics I love reading, hearing, talking about. Salvation, healing, the baptism in the Holy Ghost, and complete victory over sin.

A favourite sermon would have to be The Blood. A gospel sermon preached by Billy Graham about the blood of the passover, and the blood of Christ. I wore the tape out, carrying it around, and using it to witness to friends in high school.

Another I referred to often was All The Devil's Apples Have Worms, and he shoulda known coz he was eating them [not Billy, Jimmy].

My favourite thoughts on healing come from Matthew 8 & 9, and Mark 9.

Romans 6 on victory over sin; John 3 on salvation, and Acts 2, and John the Baptist's words concerning Jesus baptising with the Holy Ghost and fire.

Psalm 1 has been instrumental in shaping my life, and bringing much joy and happiness.

I love the power of the Gospel and God's Word.
