So let's discuss what is easiest and profitable things to sell online? Even at this recession time, I believe that are somethings that still sell very well

I'll suggest someone join some affiliate program that have autopilot system, which requires minimum efforts and IT knowledge from you

Start-up cost is the number one reason people shy away from any online business.

Everything you are posting is only generic rhetoric and isn't helping anyone thinking about earning money online. Sounds like you're copy/pasting it from an article. Show people some specifics on how you're doing it.

I agree with you onelung. Vague, non-specific information has cost me thousands of dollars over the years...

As a designer for the emarketing industry I can tell you there is no easy way to make fast money. The only people that are making fast money are those selling you products saying they can show you how to make fast easy money, I despise that.
The latest and greatest magic method is nothing more than a vapor. Trust me I've been doing this for years and no longer accept work from those selling those products.

If you want to start an emarketing business you need first and foremost a niche. One that interests you personally. Then either develop your own product or buy a PLR (private label reseller) product and resell it. Even if your interest niche is off the wall, great! The less general the better.
Many come with a complete website (no hosting or domain name) that you can modify to your needs.

Regarding affiliate programs:
Some are great, but you need to have traffic to profit from it. That means time in developing the website (many use blogs) with relevant content, let me note here, it must be fresh content, not filling a blog with feeds from other people.
The web is stuffed with garbage websites, if you want to stand out, take the time to keep it unique. Your experiences and opinions matter when it is something you are passionate about and in the end can pay off. be reasonable in your expectations, remember the people writing those get rich fast websites are trained professionals who's one and only purpose is to get you to fork over your money, they do not care about you or your needs. Harsh but true.

On a lighter note, it is possible to legitimately make money online, do it correctly and it will only increase over time.

Starting a blog on a topic that interests you (but interests many others as well) can be a starting pointing for anyone.  As you gain knowledge on your topic and establish yourself as an expert in that field...you can produce your own ebooks or even a printed book to sell.

Affiliate marketing also works well for the option.  If you don't want to produce your own product you can recommend other people's products and earn a commission.

Certainly with the economy the way it is, you would want to be more careful in which niche you choose to endeavor, but nonetheless, there are still many opportunities.

People are going to become more frugal...if you can help them save money or solve other problems or do-it-yourself tutorial this would make great information products to sell.

Perhaps some cannot afford music lessons.  If you play the piano, you could create a private membership site to share videos of recorded piano lessons.  Price the cost at an affordable price that is very competitive with the normal costs of lessons.

May I ask a question?

Why internet marketing as a focus?

I think there are so many more possibilities in strategically USING the internet to do business, there again, I have no idea what you're looking to achieve.

Could we talk of broader possibilities?
