I need to know what I can do to help my father after his stroke .  He has regained some use of his arm and leg but his mind is still not responding.  I am looking for something to help repair and reconect his brain for his motor skills and equilibrium.

Nathan,i take asprin daily to prevent stroke.  Possibly large doses of asprin might be of some use.  What do his doctors say?

Preventing another stoke is good but what I am looking for is a way to help wake up his motor skills (of the brain)to regain the use of his arm and leg better. Anybody know of something he can take to help.

aaawww God Bless you and your father. How is he doing? My mother had a stroke two years ago. I'd like to add to everyone's posts and say that rest is very important
He must not get stressed out. I think eating a healthy, well rounded diet will put things back on track.

Here's an article for you (you might wanna mute your speakers):
Food that Improve Brain Activity

My mother always fed us dal (yellow split peas) and reasoned that it would help our memory in school. Not sure if that's an old wives tale or not....Probably her way of getting us to eat!
