Some of us are looking for quick ways to make money and add to our income. This is the case even when there's not a recession.

What are some quick ways that you know of to make some money.

Here's a couple of my suggestions:

1. Donate plasma (You can earn approximately $35 limited to twice per week and they pay you on site)
2. Sell stuff on Ebay or Craigslist
3. Walk around your neighborhood offering to do yard work (raking, bush trimming, grass cutting, etc.)
4. Cut every expense you can that is unnecessary (magazines, newspapers, cable, cell phone, going out to eat, drinks in the refrigerator when you have tap water, downgrade your cellphone plan and sell the fancy one you have)

Ok...your turn. Please help make this list helpful to someone by adding your suggestions on quick ways to make money and ways to cut expenses.

When it comes to saving money, I find that if you watch the little things, the big things take care of themselves. Here are a few suggestions:

Cook from scratch. Use cheap cuts of meat and fresh fruits ad vegetables. Don't buy frozen dinners!

Buy generic/store brands.

Plan your meals ahead and only shop once a week [or twice a month.]

Wash your car with a hose instead of paying for a carwash.

Change the oil in your car regularly and keep the tires inflated properly.

When you see something you want to buy, if it costs more than $20 wait a week. You'll save many unnecessary purchases that way.

Never carry credit card debt. Interest payments will eat you alive.

Stop drinking sodas [or at least cut back]. A friend of mine discovered that she could save $400/year if she stopped buying a soda every day from Sonic! Instead of doing without completely, she decided to cut back from 5 to 1 per week. She still saved over $300/year.

One quick way to earn money is to have a yard sale. It's amazing the junk people will buy!

You can find broken things on craigslist for free and fix them, I am going to have my uncle teach me to work on snowmachines (engines, body work, chasy, etc).  You can fix up free broken furnature on craigs list and resell it.

Paying for an annual full blown car detail and touch up painting it will make you feel better to be in a off the lot clean car and will reduce rust damage, take maticulus care of your car so you dont have to buy a new one, get stuff fixed before it breaks and becomes very expensive (if you hear a clicking or something).  Learn to do as much as you can yourself and invest in tools to do the job instead of taking it in.  Buy energy saver bulbs and a temperature control thermostat so you dont have the heat on that high when your not there.

Always be learning, dont be affraid to go back to school for a new trade.

Hmm... Quick Ways to Make Money.

It's very important in this regard to understand that there are 3 things that you need in order to make money

1) A Market
2) A Product
3) An Offer to Get the Product to the Market.

But that's elementary.
What's really needed is the Lord Jesus Christ and His way of conducting Business. And to do this what is needed is knowledge of the Word of God, and with that knowledge, what is needed is action.

There are many who know what to do, but don't do it, because of fear.
But, God hasn't given us a spirit of fear but One of power, love and a sound mind.(2 Timothy 1:7)

Here's a second thought... Quick ways to make money quite simply aren't for Christians... yes... God can bring financial prosperity to you quickly, but making haste to get rich will only lead to problems down the road.

Instead seek to work diligently, and honestly as if working for the Lord, because as a Christian, you are a colabourer with Him and He will see about your financial abundance.

For it is our Father's good pleasure to give us the Kingdom (Luke 12:32)

Heres a good one for ya's-

I may be a "Lay Minister", but God has no openings for me in a church to be employed at, I volunteer as they can't afford the help otherwise.

2nd- I'm physically disabled enough after one month's work at physical labor jobs, I fall out from pain in specific joints, my back etc.

3rd- The State and County here believe a single person with no home, no dependants and is not Doctor approved as "fully disabled", does not qualify for any aide whatsoever.

4th- Thus, I cannot afford retraining, nor can get or know of, any programs or Grants I can utilize, to be retrained such as in computer program learning.

5th- I am a mechanical, electrical and metal structural Engineer, but cannot do it on computer, only by hand.

Now, are there any ideas for how to either get me re-training on computer programs to use with my years of knowledge already gained, or some other business I could get into to generate more steady income?

God Bless!!
