The Kennedy Assassination - conspiracy or not?

I have always been intrigued at what appears to have been a conspiracy to cover up the events of Nov. 22-24, 1963.

I have read a number of books relating to the assassination of JFK and the subsequent doing-in of Lee Harvey Oswald by Jack Ruby. Most of us who were old enough to remember the events must have varied opinions on whether or not these killings were part of a conspiracy. Television documentaries have done serious damage to the conclusions drawn by the Warren Commission i.e. Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone.

My readings indicate that some eyewitnesses to the shootings were mysteriously bumped off, others who were called to give evidence to the shooting death of Officer Tippitt also met untimely deaths. Several more who had secondhand information also died before they were able to be interviewed. The syndicated columnist Dorothy Kilgallen was found dead in her apartment of an apparent overdose of alcohol and drugs -- soon after conducting an interview with Jack Ruby in his prison cell. A member of the Warren Commission, Hale Boggs disappeared in an airplane crash somewhere in Alaska soon after he began to express opinions that ran counter to what the members of the Commission (including Gerald Ford) had signed off on.

Most disturbingly, the actuarial odds of all these witnesses meeting premature deaths rockets so high (hundreds of billions to one), that the obvious conclusion one must draw is the American people were purposely duped by the powers that be. Perhaps others have different viewpoints. I would appreciate your perspectives. Thanks...

Yes, I actually watched one of my netflix documentaries on this. " The men who Killed Kennedy" There is so many things that credible people questioned. Kennedy's brain was missing, upon arrival at the Naval Hospital, in Washington. He was in a different casket. There were doctors in Dallas, that disputed, the wounds, and the location of the wounds, that the autopsy in Washington showed. Many, Many things. Did you know Ford was on the Warren commission? It is an old documentary, I think 1988, but, if you get a chance watch it.

I don't think there is anyone could completely discount that Kennedy was murdered by a single assassin. The question is whether or not that gunman acted alone or as part of a conspiracy.

I like a good mystery, and conspiracy. Those Kennedy's were just oozing conspiracy. There is the Mary Jo, the Marylin Monroe sleeping with the brothers, and them killing her, the biggest I guess is JFK, and LBJ.

I didn't believe the Warren Commission report for many years. The JFK movie & other stories of a "conspiracy" lingered in my mind throughout the years.

Only about a year or so ago i saw another documentary & they interviewed Oswald's brother.

After listening to his testimony, i was totally convinced that Oswald, dubbed "a loner" & other testimony by his brother,  acted alone in perpetrating Kennedy's assassination.

I am not usually one to buy ito conspiracy theories.  However, I lived through this time and believe it is very possible. He was hated by organized crime and big labor (that helped put him in the whitehouse) and the CIA and FBI had no use for him.  I believe the courage of him and Bobby lead to both being killed.  I also believe Jimmy Hoffa was involved and was snuffed in part to make peace with what was left of the Kennedy clain.  Remember old daddy Joe was not exactly MR. Clean and organized crime was very close to them before Bobby started putting them in jail.

I've never found any conspiracy theory revolving around his death to be compelling, conspiracy theories simply never add up, there's too much conjecture and never any evidence.

While when I do I will hopefully find out for 100% certainty what happened, I'm already about 99.99% sure that Oswald acted lone

Me too.  Until I found out that the JFK movie was based on a book authored by a dude who was, at best, known to beat, torture, and otherwise coorce people into saying what he wanted to hear.  And thats just the tip of the iceberg.  Do some research on him.  Its amazing.

If there was a conspiracy, it was after the fact.  The FBI and CIA knew who this clown was, and ignored him, not really believing him to be a credible threat.  So any conspiracy came in covering their own respective asses.

I remember him coming to our town when he was running for president and us kids throwing water balloons at him in  his convertable just to do it no political agenda  . You would a thunk he would have got a hard top . where did he get shot ;in the head-- sitting  in the back of a convertable , i think  or was it a hard top?
I forget been to long ago now.
i do remember in school many were crying when the news came about him being shot .

You mean the Secret Service had a chance to legally shoot you and didn't take it?  Darn.

I think the only conspiracy was between the book writers and documentary makers.  they conspired to make money off his death.

P.S.

John Wilkes Booth was part of a conspiracy.  That's a historical fact.

Then of course, if a Kennedy assassination conspiracy did not exist, it would be necessary to invent it.

(Two cents'.)

PS, by that I mean that for some ppl it's actually easier to believe that there was a conspiracy than to believe that there wasn't.

(And in any case, how do you PROVE there wasn't?) You can say that not enough evidence has emerged to prove a conspiracy (if it hasn't) but it's not quite legally accurate to say that it has been proved that there was no conspiracy.
